I burp all the time.. sadly lol and as stated above thy are from the pit of your stomach that would have guys in awe like wow did she just do that.. honest.. you can try the gas chews or strips.. feel better

BEST DECISION EVER.Please do not let your doctor change your mind about the surgery over a number. First, possibilities are endless. Second, That is all that is.. a number. Your success will be measured by the little victories you will find amaze you. Things you never thought possible. I some days forget it is snug and secure inside my belly.. an will not go off through a metal detector , I make it through one every day.. depending on the bra I wear.. Lucy can have a mind of her own some days (as did her namesake Lucille Ball lol) but that is okay.. it keeps me in check when I feel like I need to steer off course..

Good luck to you , congrats and triple congrats for quitting smoking.. I gained 90 lbs if not more when I quit and finally said enough! Had surgery last april and I couldn't be happier!! you got this girlfriend..

Enjoy! YOu don't have to tell him until you are ready too! Enjoy that coffee girlfriend! or just grab a hot tea if you are more comfortable with that

NOt TMI Leepers.. I too have noticed I am gassier weather I burp or fart since surgery .. also you have gas pockets that need to come out from going under as well.. better out then in

I used ricotta for the lasagna bowl .. but I think that is a personal preference .. also refriend beans with melted cheese was another one

I would ask..no I would demand the swallow as well... this is your body and you have every right to get it checked.. and after all is said and done.. find a dr's office who will take you on with this band.. one who has your best interest in heart,... this office sounds like it it doesn't. goodluck

day 3 I switched from clear to full liquids Protein shakes however .. I kept the pureed Soups for the mushy stage I had no issues doing so .. if you feel you need a little bit more make your shakes with skim milk or almond milk instead of Water.. it might help you feel full longer

i'm ok. down only 44lbs. it was a few more but i went up a little with the holidays. i'm back on track now, started adding more exercise. plan to go see my nut and just got another fill....i still feel no restriction. i have 7.5 (i think) in my 14 cc band....but i'm in it for the long haul. like wise here down 44 .. I stayed the same during the holidays.. went back to basics and have a fill scheduled for this Thursday.. I need help with portion control when I am out..

I waited a few days and then wore a sports bra to keep them off my stomach... a week later I was in my regular bra no issues..being home though post opt..i loved my sports bra..when I went out I put the wires on.. wasn't bad! Goodluck!!!!

They can but that is usually because of a defective port area and not common.. the covering to the hole on the port is a special substance that stops it from leaking.. think of diabetic insulin and filling the needles.. the vile doesn't leak ..Call your Dr if you are worried.. but you might also have a nauseated feeling associated with the leak. I have not had a leak personally.. friends I know have and that is what they told me.. the feeling of hunger could be your very own bandsters hell.. for some people it takes more then one or two fills before they have proper restriction... it does have a mind of its own!! Just make sure you get your protein in on your tight days .. even if it is in the form of a shake

It's funny because before the band i would weigh every week IF that... after the band i find myself on the scale every day.. sometimes even twice... a switch has been flipped! HA but while i learned that i should not concentrate so much with the numbers but with the way my clothes feel.. So there is a group of us on IG that does Eff the scale challenges to keep us off them for so many days..

Just breath take it day by day ... you will conquer the gas, pain, fear, anxiety, and you will be a better healthier you!

I told everyone... and while i had positive feedback from all.. some still asked the same questions.. i politely told them that i tried basically everything short of becoming a drug addict and that this is the best option for me... that is when they told me they were just concerned because of the stories they have heard of complications.. I assured them.. the lap band was the safest and can come out of there are any issues and that i researched thoroughly for the best poss surgeon and the questions stopped. as for the cold shoulder... i know it gets to you but don't let it.. some just need to get over themselves.. you deserve to look and feel GREAT ... it;s your journey .. not theirs hun

This is great!!!! Your great!!!! I to have done that with shopping... and i LOVE to shop... but what is the point when its just going to get smaller lol I have found it hard to get rid of the bigger sizes... i just got rid of a basket stuffed and i was about to cry lol... some of my favorite pieces gone to big... but i'll get new favorites .. this i know... great job!

Hugs you! So sorry for your loss! I am here for you! Just a message away.. Use your grieve as a crutch to help you through this tough time..not an excuse in your journey... i think you found a good group of people here who will always in some form "get it" hugggs again

Do you drink enough water, get in enough protein, ??? i have 7.8 cc's in my 14 cc band and some days i dont feel restriction either... people have told me this is normal not to fret about it.. if you are feeling hungry very soon after you eat call your dr's office it might be time for another fill.. if not.. journal what you eat maybe something needs to be tweaked.. or give your nutritionist a call they will be able to help

That was how it was for me.. my Dr did not fill it during surgery.. and had to wait 6 weeks for my first fill... due to healing..
