  1. I think everyone should know different situations that could occur and since i couldnt find much on pregnancy and lapband complications i figured my story needed to be out here for others to see . I got pregnant in December 2014 and didn't find out until January 2015. We were the happiest anyone could be because I had my lapband for 2 years and was close to my goal weight. At 16 weeks I had trouble keeping anything down and there started my journey. My fluid was completely taken out and from 16 weeks to time of birth I didn't have fluid. Week 18 I had gallbladder surgery. After surgery I started having kidney stones one right after the other. I was in the hospital more than I was at home in the end of my pregnancy. The end of my pregnancy journey and the beginning of motherhood happened the otherday and was not my choice. Baby came 4 weeks 3 days early because she was breech and had my placenta pressed against my lapband somehow to where it cut off the hole going to my stomach. I was not getting any nutrition and was sick for a solid week before anything was done. The doctors thought I was crazy but in the end when I had the csection it was what I had said all along (my lapband doc also told me i would have a tough 3rd trimester) ...she was blocking my band. Now I have a beautiful 5 day old little girl but was forced to deliver early. You know your body. Don't let anyone make you feel like you don't! Stick up for yourself and research things. To get thinga done for myself I had to call my gastric doctor and ask him to call my OB/GYN (the OB only had maybe 3 lapband patients before me)... after the pregnancy I feel like a new woman... I have lost a total of 140 lbs and 20 of those lbs were during my pregnancy. All I can say is I'm blessed to have a healthy beautiful daughter this was a learning experience for everyone and now hopefully other women won't have to go that long like I did without answers.

    Feeling full at 30 weeks

I have felt "full" before pregnancy but it kind of worried me but I asked my bariatric doctor and he said rhat as the baby gets bigger everything gets shoved to the side and that might be the sensation I'm feeling. Thank you for responding to my comment I hope you're doing well with your band. I remember your posts before this website merged with other surgeries

    Needing advice

Idk if anyone looks on this thread anymore but I'm happy to report I'm 30 weeks 4 days pregnant with our little princess! Irishchick your baby dust worked!
  5. I feel full all the time now even when I haven't had anything to eat. I'm guessing its because baby is getting bigger and crowding everything in my abdomen. Has anyone else had this feeling later in pregnancy with lapband?

    Pregos please say hello....

It really is nice to talk to someone that is in my position lol. Yes we are having a little princess and she has kicked my tail. Ill be 27 weeks friday and I still have morning sickness. Last year about the middle of July we had a miscarriage and we were crushed but then got pregnant again in December and we are just over the moon. This is our first. I'm 26 and my fiancee will be 25 in July. We found out for sure on his birthday we had a miscarriage thats why no matter what this one puts me through I'm thankful she's even in there and able to make me sick and kick me lol. We have twins on both sides of our family and there hasn't been any in awhile but we are only having one thank goodness for right now lol. I was told by Dr. Bagnato that ill probably have a rough third trimester and I'm guessing because of the baby being big and crowding my stomach. I cried when I found out the best thing was to get a complete unfill because I've done so good with lapband I was scared I would just blow back up but as of now I'm alright and I'm definitely not trying to diet because I get sick so easily I try and eat on the days that I can. The burping is really nasty lol but I have found that if I lay on my left side sometimes the gas comes up better and I'm not stuck as long. My mamma tried it and it worked for her too lol. She just got lapband so she's getting her feet wet with it. She hasn't got her first fill yet so her and I are in the same boat right now.

    Pregos please say hello....

Haha well happy birthday! I think its a 10cc. I had a complete unfill at 16 weeks because I couldn't keep anything down. I'm not sure if it was lapband or my gallbladder. So I've been without fluid for 10 weeks now. Yeah after last night of the food coming back up and me drinking for the past 12 or more hours I feel much better. I've never had this happen until after Lapband but when I throw up I get these dots all over my face and neck. It looks awful but as long as I feel better I don't care lol. My fiancee asks how I know the difference between baby sick and band sick....I told him its a distinct difference haha. I hope he does something special for you :-) and I hope you feel better soon!

    Pregos please say hello....

Yeah that's what I plan on doing. No heavy stuff...mostly protein shakes and probably some yogurt or pudding. As the baby gets bigger things will start moving out the way to make way for her right? Does that include our stomach and lapband? I'm sure our stomachs aren't excluded just because we have lapband lol but I'm curious as they grt bigger will this get worse. What do you think?

    Pregos please say hello....

Well that sounded like I'm only going to drink protein during the day....what I meamt was I was going to add that in during the day plus my food to make sure I'm getting protein and calories.

    Pregos please say hello....

Today has been a rough day for me. I had mexican and it didn't go down like it should have. I was only able to eat that today because of basically being stuck :-( I get so scaree of that sometimes. I think I'm just going to start doing protein shakes during the day to help make sure I get what I need. Its very frustrating when you can't eat and you feel you need to

    Pregos please say hello....

I have had mine over 2 years and I'm down about 125 now. I like having to go back for fills because you have to go see them it makes me feel more comfortable for some reason and I agree the progress is slow but my skin has had time to tighten over the amount of time it has taken me. I have about 80 more that I want to lose then ill be maintaining. I'm wondering how breastfeeding is going to effect my weightloss. I keep getting told you have to eat a lot and drink a lot....well its hard to do both unless you plan everything out I guess that's what Im going to have to do. How far along are you with your pregnancy?

    Pregos please say hello....

I'm actually in warner robins but I went to him for my surgery :-) I believe that's his signature lol! I know one thing its nice to have it where he puts it when you get pregnant. I haven't had a bit of problem with my port thank goodness. How are you doing with your surgery? How long have you had the lapband?
  13. southernqt

    Pregos please say hello....

Did you happen to get yours done by Dr. Bagnato?
  14. southernqt

    Pregos please say hello....

I'm glad my port is above my left breast so that I don't have that problem. I can only imagine how uncomfortable it is for yall that have your port in your stomach

    Pregnant !

Yeah its been a doozie lol but baby is heqltht and that's all that matters to me. :-) yes I was terrified when I found out I was having to get all my fluid taken out and cried for a couple of days (hormone fluctuations didn't help matters haha!) Because I was so scared of gaining half of what I lost back. Its a scary feeling for sure. Yes its nice to find a band mommy :-)
