Put all of what you've written above in a card and send it to him. Then let it go and see what, or if, anything happens. He may have no idea how you feel (guys are kind of like that sometimes :-)).
If you don't hear from him, then let go. It is one of the hardest things to do but, as I've learned, it is very difficult and stressful to try to maintain a one-sided friendship. Use that energy on others now.
