  1. You can go to walmart or walgreens or other pharmacy and I have had them print out labels for my medication that we get mailed. Though it may be something they just do for me....cause I have so many Rx's filled there for short term stuff with the kids...... but school requires it be printed and have extra copy of it too!
  2. I got to keep mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Wild Tales of airport security

I cried at the San Diego too!!!!!!!!!!!! They were not suppossed to xray my breast milk when I came back,,,,,, I blocke dup the line..... I had my letter from their website, the name of the person I verified this with and the "list" of how to handle it for them......... It took 45 minutes.....me on oneside bare foot holding 6 days of frozen breast milk and my computer and id and other stuff on the other!!!!!!!!!!!! Then there was no rooms or plugs in the women's bathroom to pump. I BREAST FEED EVERYWHERE.... I am good at it an never have exposed skin or anything....... but pumping is another story........ they only place to pump was to plug in at a socket in seating area....security freaked, I cried..... the nice southwest guy....let me sit under his desk and use the closest outlet....... while he was boarding a flight.......... IT WAS ABSOLUTELY the worst experience I had traveling.....and usually I travel with 3-8 kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So i feel your pain!!!!!!!

I got for the pcos...... since I had my c section and suppossedly am not having any more kids...... my ob/ thinks I do not need it any more...... cause the othery symptoms of pcos (besides the infertility) are not an issue............... HE DOESN"T LIVE WITH ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! or have hair grwoing on his breasts........ My husband plans on calling him! I love this issue with insurance and the idiot things we have to do when we all have "full choice"

    Yaaaaaaay vsg!

I always equated my band loss with how many bags of dog food it was! I was 2 big ones and a large cat food and small cat food and the hamster shavings...... all to gether!
  7. I would say YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. if you become my friend you can see my kids! I hope you new little one get here safely and soon!

  9. but I went to Mexico for mine...... in the US i think that would vary by insurance company *& dr...... nut if they are replacing you band I can't see a "moral" issue
  10. my devon has autism too..... but hey it make my life fun It helps that Devon has ds with his autism..... cause he at least visulally is recognizable to most people.....and when he complete melts down (or my favorite "spidermans out in an elevator) he gets a pass from some where others just think his two friend with fragile x have "bad" parents! And I have worked w/ fragile x adults..... I know I ds is the cadillac of mr causing issues! I keep telling people people we have it so lucky compared to most of my kids friends parents
  11. I was just over 30 BMI at time of revision. I really only ever hung out at 23.5 to 24 bmi...... but according to my PC doctor I had about 30 lbs of hanging flabby skin (my older son loves to sit under the chair and hit is back and forth like bat wings but on your thighs....lovely thought!) So she would get mad at me if I dropped below 160 lbs. I am 5 ' 8" almost 9" (used to be now I am shrinking in all directions...I hate being old) And Emerson is doing better than he should be in most areas. But he still has several unresolved issues that Doctors do not understand or get (he is on an apnea monitor 24/7 to monitor his heart rate.....it suddenly drops below 75 several times a day for no reason and will continue to fall till he "blacks out" and then his pace maker (also external) goes off! He also has apnea too..... but suppossedly they are not interelated! I have given up understanding or at this point even wanting to go to another doctor to figure out what is wrong.....it has cost a tons in copays and tests and no results.....they just rule out stuff....shows up in his heart, but not his heart; not nuerological, not pulmonology , not gastroenterology......! Ironically they are finally running a chromosome test....... it will be ironically funny if all this is chromosomal abnormality (I asked them to check this at birth due to prenatal test results and they said no reason since they were sure he did not have T-18 or T-21 there fore no reason....... I have five adopted kids with t-21 so this would be sort of humorous !)
  12. I had the emergency when pregnant. I was at goal for almost 3 1/2 years (and had had another pregnancy in there). I was never able to get the amount of Fluid back in after I had a mc (I had to have it all removed in dec 2005 after needing surgery for late mc) then returned 1.8 ml ....I had had 2.6 before. Then I got pregnaNT again in june 2006.....took out all fluid in September 06 due to Jordan's continued pregnancy(no problems at this point) after I finished the second pregnancy I was able to put back in 1 ml......took out in Jun 08 as soon as I knew I was pregnant..... the reflux started about 2 hours after I believe conception occurred and the vomiting started about 1 month into the pregnancy and continued till i STANGULATED IT AT 32 WEEKS! What insurance covered and not covered is still a hot debate. ex...the covered the Dr. emergency fees and the consultation fees.... but not the removal fees. Same eith anethisia..... emergency fee of 250....covered but not the admisitration for the surgery. They covered anythiong that kept me and the baby alive and him in utereo ACCEPT the surgery. Ironically I was told by one insurance peon had Emerson's heart not stopped 90 minutes or so after the surgery.....they would have covered all the dr /ansethia fees too........ but I think they were confused and it was way to many.....cause I had an emergency c section about 2 minutes after his heart beat stoped! (It was a real bad night) I got my sleeve 6 months after. I was a self pay for that and my original band. I did not want to gain any more weight back and am well onto loosing what I did gain after the pregnancy
  13. Normal....my wall was about three and half weeks. Then it magically jumped again. This happened with the band and with my sleeve. It started about three weeks out. So we will all likely say the same thing....this will pass. I did keep loosing inches then!

Need advice - band or sleeve?

I loved my band and had it for 4 years with no issues.....found my sweet spot right away (wnet back to Mexico fo r the first and only fill till I got pregtnant at 20 months post op.....(I had lost all my weight). The morning sickness made me nauseua all the time (not much different than my "fat" pregnancy...... had all the fill removed..... but never was the same after. Kept my weight off......went another 2 1/2 years and into another pregnancy (there were a few mc in between) but each time I got pregnant the hormones reeked havoc with my band! Last time it slipped, then prolapsed and need emergency removal at 32 weeks into the pregnancy.....the removal cause the emergency c section of my son. I did not have the option of a sleeve in 2003. Or I would have chosen it over the band. I loved my band, but I did miss the times I could not eat anything healthy....like grapefruit or apples or broccoli or other stuff......it limited the junk, but i missed a lot of "good" stuff that I liked too. at this point I have had no issues with eating anything..... just small amounts. SO I do love my sleeve. I am also very rarely hungry at this point.

    caffeine

I always eat way less when I have my coffee. I thought that caffine was a supressent (or so the original dexatrim packages told me!)
  19. THAT IS SO AWesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope your family was as excited as you were!
  20. We do that...... a lot. My problem is the kids and all too little and still do the kids menu or occassionall I get them and entree or two and they all split it between the seven of them (restaurants hate that by the way) to not have the "fried" junk. Eric and I rarely agree on what we like, I do take it home, but prime rib (even the 6 oz cut) could have fed me for a week when I was banded..... so I stuck a lot to mushies or whatever when we were out.....also due to not wanting to get "sick" with all the kids there....... i had a hard time chewing right and not getting a pb while having all the kids there....... (make sense) I am likeing the sleve though....I can screw up the chewing a little more w/ less issues other than...NO MORE IN!!!!!!!!!!!! Much better than the other band issues I would have on and off!
  21. I know that if I had a little water with these.....then I would stop myself dead.....1 crab rangoon or 1/2 eggroll..... I don't like the dumplings....chinese or other
  22. Eating out was always so hard for me when I had the band. I am just now getting to eating food out in public with the sleeve with the kids. (I had the grilled chicken ceasar at McDonalds the other night.....and 1/4 of a small fries....the kids kept sticking them in my mouth....really!) I must say I still have the issue with what to order..... I hate spending 9-15 $ at a restaurant just for me..... or getting a small onion ring when I can eat 2-3 if that!. So I keep sticking to the cheap Soup or cottage cheese or potatoes or vegies....... or I think it is the we have so many kids....... I just cant waste the $$$ when I won't eat it. I also had my wisdom teeth out this week! SO I am double not wanting to eat anything! I just wish bread didn't go down so well...... but I can always cheat and drink some with it....it swells and stops me up...... my way to make the sleeve "clamp down" and yes.... I could eat around it.....though in some ways it is easier...others it is harder....I am just happy that I am back on the loosing side again!
  23. Ok my band has been missed several time....the 40pounds I gained after it was gone in 6 months...... course nursing and I always gain weight after the birth! But in getting ready for Adrian and ELiza's big birthday tea party...... I can eat cookie dough and icing way too easily (ironically that never fit though my band nor did I want to eat it!!!!!!!!!!!!! when i was) The fudge cut our flowers were not an issue....fit down easy... but I only wanted one..... but the Cookies and the petite four (which eating cake was always a waste of time before with my band) SEND ME SOME GOOD THOUGHTS!!!!!!!!!!! At least the cut out cookie flower pops were absolutely adorable!:biggrin0:
  24. Oh kettle corn......................my favorite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love kettle corn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know..... but it is so hard not to much the whole time I am baking!!!!!!!!!!!! The band never let me do that................ I just want my but gone!
  25. I know...... and the band did n't do pop corn either! (at least for me)
