    Has anyone on here delt with Aetna Insurance? They require a bmi of 35 and 2 comorbidities. I have 3 of the major comorbidities but my bmi is only 35.3. I have had my first appointment with the surgeon' date=' first nutrition consult and my psych eval is next week. I am very nervous about approval. Any input would be much appreciated![/quote']

    I have Aetna and I went through 6 months dietitian and a phsyc eval had to get a written ok from my family doctor an was approved in march of this year had my surgery on April 1st and have lost almost 30 lbs already I was at 255when I started all of this and am down to 225 just do everything Aetna asks you to do and you shouldn't have a problem

    Thanks Nikki I am so sore an layed up in the recliner I had alot of trouble getting outta the bed today so looked like this will be my bed tonight. I am very very swelled ESP on the left side an that is what hurts the most at the moment I appreciate your thoughts an kindness to me

    I am pretty much feeling the same way so at least we are in the same boat !!! I have gotten up outof the recliner a few times today just to walk a little But I go right back to the recliner !

    Our date is the same..... How are you doing with your pre op diet? I lost thirteen pounds in eight days. Monday is not coming fast enough! I'm wishing you and I a speedy recovery......

    My pre op is going well I have lost 19 so far as of today ! I scheduled for 730 am Monday morning I am nervous excited scared ! How are you doing I will be thinking and praying for you as we'll !

    I am on day 4 of my preop diet. Which means I have 11 more days until I am banded. My pre op diet consists of only Protein shakes 3-4 a day. I am so down in the dumps and feel like 11 days is going to be the worse days of my life. I ask myself can I do this maybe I'm not ready. Can I do this? Wow this is hard.

    I literally had a nervous break down on my 4th day. Wondering if I was really making the right decision. I am on my second week and I know I can do this, it is hard no doubt but you have to keep yourself busy ! I go for walks and read and clean !!!! You have to get out of that " I can't " mind frame and turn it into " I can " we have all been here and know what your going through keep reading the forums they have helped me a lot this last week

    Tomorrow is surgery! I won't say the last 14 days weren't pure hell because it was. I have met some really cool helpful people on this web sight! Thanks to all of you!!!

    Good for you !!! I am only 4 days in pre op an today I am miserable and having second thoughts I know this is for the best for me and my health! I just want you to know seeing your post today really gave me some inspiration ! Thank you for your positive attitude
