  1. No c-section for me either my surgeon did the leak test durring the operation, the pain was not bad I took pain meds while in the hospital but none since I've home, 10 days post op. The best advice I can give you is to be in the best physical condition you can before you have the procedure it will make it all go so much better, at least it did for me, good luck
  2. I stopped crushing up pills about 5 days out with out a problem.

    Drinking bigger sips..

I guess I'm lucky 9 days out and no problems drinking water at all, I drank 16 oz in about 15 minutes with out a problem. Over all I have done very well for the past 3 days I exercised on an elliptical for 45 minutes per day. And I have no pain, no nausea, and have been able to eat my cream diet without any problem.
  4. Who exactly are they??? Co-workers!!! Then why do you care what they say or think. If there comments get out hand report them to supervision.
  5. I started to workout hard about 3 mouths before my surgery, lifting a lot of weights and doing lots of cardio and I believe now 8 days post op its paying huge dividends. I feel great, no problem getting my liquid and Protein in. No pain what so ever, never filled my prescription for pain when I came home. I started walking about 4 hours after I was in my room and continued the next day walking the halls around and around, I brought my ear buds and music and walked for about 4 hours that first day maybe 15 or 20 minutes at a time. This helped me greatly and I hope it will help you. Joe I.

    Adding eggs to tuna

I have been mixing tuna and cottage cheese its really good.
  7. Talking to my doc post op he tells me my stomach was really large and kinda hard to get out. He also said he had to use two more rows of staples than he normally does, it sounds like the distance from the top to the bottom of stomach was extra long. He said it won't make any difference to my ability to loose weight. Has any else's doc told them anything like this?
  8. I had my sleeve surgery done Monday March 4th that puts me four days out the first day was rough the pain meds helped. Each succeeding day has gotten better. Today I've got a 30 gram protein drink and 20 oz of water down so far. Good luck Ill be thinking about you.

  22. My name is Joe and I'm scheduled for surgery here in Michigan at Henry Ford on March 4. Up till now I have gone back and forth weather to have the RNY or the Sleeve. At my last appointment I told my surgeon I wanted the RNY. I never really felt comfortable with that, I had been lurking here and at RNY Talk, well yesterday I changed my mind and decided to go with the Sleeve. My Dr. never really pushed me one way or the other except to say that you can expect to loose more weight with the RNY. With all the extra trauma to your body and the extra after care, ect... I just feel more comfortable with the Sleeve, I hope I'm making the right decision I figure this is my chance and I don't want to blow it HW. 313 CW. 283 GW. 180
