No painkillers or liquids, and no chance I could be pregnant. I'm thinking it has something to do with what I'm eating.

I had surgery march 14 and I've been doing great and eating as I've been told. Starting about a week ago, though, I'm nauseated all the time. I even wake up in the middle of the night nauseated. Anyone have any ideas why i might get nauseated so much or even think this is from Lapband?

it isn't Constipation. i get this pain/cramping all the time. i had my first fill on tuesday and am now at 4cc's and i'm worried my band has slipped bc i feel no restriction, only this pain/cramping

Thank you for the details of the full. I get my first fill April 16 so I've been wondering what it's like. How much weight have you lost since then?

Thank you all so much! I'm going to try whatever it takes to get this to go away.

I wish someone had said something to me about stool softener. Gonna have to get that ASAP. Unfortunately I'm in stl ad snowed in with about a foot of snow outside so won't be getting them today. I'm not taking my pain meds anymore. Just looking for something to ease the pain of Constipation.

I had back pain around a week after surgery and I chalked it up to gas pain. It only last about 2 days thankfully. It was quite painful. This too will pass. Good luck.

Thank you destined lady! Ill try anything at this point!

I'm super constipated from my pain meds! The worst ever....shaking from pain, almost passing out, etc. any ideas for natural relief? I'm trying to weigh if taking my pain meds are worth it at this point? This Constipation is my only pain and its more painful than anything that had to do with surgery. Any advice would be helpful.

Pond queen, I had a hiatal hernia repair. My surgeon had an idea going into surgery that I did and sure enough I did have a hiatal hernia. My surgeon said its very common amount weight loss surgeries. Good luck on recovery!

I'm day 8 pre-op and I had some of a Protein Shake and sugar-free pudding which is what is in the list from the dr and I feel so uncomfortable with hiccups! Is it because I'm still recovering? Did I eat too much or too fast for still being in the recovery phase? Just trying to figure out what's wrong. I hate feeling so uncomfortable so soon.

Congrats on being banded! I haven't had that issue yet, but I'm sure I will the first few times too. I'm only 7 days post op. I'm sure we all will go through that over eating phase and realize what we can and can't eat and how fast of slow we need to eat, it's prob bc of the full too. Good luck to you and congrats again on taking the first step towards a new life.

Cully, thanks for the advice about the shoulder pains. Good to know I'm not the only one. I'm not 7 days post op and they finally went away. Still scared to wear a bra bc incision sites are on my bra line. Anyone else have this issue/fear?
Lump next to port?!
in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums

So my port is to the left of my belly button and about two weeks ago I found a lump right above my belly button, almost like it's connected to the port (it's obviously not the port, because it's too large). My surgeon had me get a CT and that was 2 weeks ago. He said he'd call immediately if it was something serious, otherwise he'd tell me the results when I go back on oct 16. In the meantime, I figured I'd ask if anyone else has had that issue? It's not painful and almost feels like a hernia. The surgeon actually thinks it's a hernia where the tubing goes through the abdominal muscle (he said he's seen it happen once in 13 years, just my luck!). Any ideas or anyone else have this problem? I'm just preparing myself for him to tell me it's a hernia. Not sure what else it would be. Definitely not infection or anything like that but I'm positive it has something to do with the Lapband.
