Thank you everyone. After researching it I am going to start the ball rolling with my insurance and maybe I can get lucky and have them pay for it. I believe this is the best decision for me. I have tried EVERY diet, pill, shake out there with no results. Thanks again

Today I was denied for lap band by insurance bc I haven't had either blood pressure, diabetes, or sleep apnea for 3 years ( I am very discouraged now. My BMI is above 40 and I was told that I could do it as a "self-pay" can anyone tell me around how much it cost? Thanks

Thanks everyone! I'm going back to my GP tomorrow hoping she will send letters and continue to try to convince my insurance I need this surgery. If not let the saving begin!!

I am also going to my first appointment/seminar next week. I am really curious about getting insurance to approve me, a co-worker had the surgery and the insurance covered them. My BMI is 39.2
