  1. The liquid diet does that. And then the meds from surgery. Once you get on mashies it returns to normal;)
  2. I thought it was a 2 as well. I can't believe how smoothly it has gone. I thought about the surgery for two years. Now I wish I would have done it too years ago!!!!

    Eating!! Help!!

My doctor said 1200 a day. And try to eat 4 or 5 small meals a day. You are physically able to eat more because your band is empty but you shouldnt. They stress protein because it helps you heal.

    2Nd Week Banded

I got discouraged by this too and then I had to think "this is a marathon and not a sprint". So now I am continuing to eat healthy and just waiting for the day when the scale starts to move again. I know that it has to;)

    Anxiety Anyone???

You will do great! I had surgery a week and a half ago and I had anxiety before and even the day after surgery. But it goes away! A few days after surgery you will start feeling like normal and this will all be behind you. I never even took one pain med so the pain is so minimal. Good luck! This is the best investment that you can make for you and your children's future;)

    October 2012 Bandsters

I am two weeks post op and the scale has stopped moving:( I am only eating 900 calories a day and I just started walking again on the treadmill a couple of days ago. Did anyone else stop losing and then have it start again. It is discouraging when I feel like I am trying so hard and not seeing the payoff. I am still down 22 pounds which is great but ready to see more:)

    October 2012 Bandsters

I can't believe I have been banded for over a week! I feel great! With the presurgery diet I am down 22 pounds in just over 3 weeks. I have dropped one whole pants size and already went out and bought new workout pants. My one week post op went great and my doctor has moved me to mushy foods. She said I will do this for one week and then be on solid foods. I can't beleive how fast this part goes. I have to say for the most part I feel full but I do have a lot of head hunger. I am dealing with it pretty well but it is definitely taunting me:( Here's to a grest week fellow October Bandsters!!!!

    October 2012 Bandsters

Well, I am to days post op and so far so good. I just keep wondering if I am ever going to get the gas pain that everyone talks about. If I haven't had any yet, will I not get it? I am sill low on energy but that is really the worst of it. I have had one anxiety attack thinking " what the heck have I done?" I have irrational thoughts like what if I can never eat foods I love again. As an addict, that is a hard thought:(

    Got My Date! October 29Th.

I have the same date!! October 29th:) I am just finishing my first week on the pre op diet. It is tougher than I ever imagined! My doctor only allows liquids and nothing else!! UGHH!!! But it will be so worth it and I am down 10 pounds in one week:) Good luck to you!!!!

    Having Trouble With Liquids

I agree! So far, the shakes are not good. I have resulted to not trying to enjoy them and sometime plugging my nose and just drinking it quickly. I don't think they are meant to enjoy:( I figure we can do anything for 4 weeks, right:)?
