Guess what people You really don't have to tell anyone WHY u are having surgery. You do need to tell managent that you will need time off due to medical reasons. THST IS IT. It is confidential information all over this U.S. Nor can your employer require you to tell him. For example hospitals, doctors can not go telling anyone even family about your medical condition if you tell them not. It is a personal choice, be cautious about employee/employer relationships. love: I have those same feelings, so since you cannot say to anyone what I have decided to do is to be a speaker at my support groups there I can make a difference and help that way. Hang in there

Just would like to add taking the Vitamins for most of us will be for life. The older you get at some point you are going to have to take a pill look at it this way; if you continue to gain weight at some point it will cause high blood pressure, arthoristists (forgive spelling) mayb dietabities (then you will either take a daily pill or shots more than once a day) . You must ask yourself hmmmm which would I rather take daily vitamins and be healthy or these other choices?????? Our weight WILL and HAS caused other health problems that is a fact. Your taste buds will change, the foods you like today may not b the foods you will like after surgery. Hope you make your choice not based on emotion but facts. Good luck to u.))

Thrust I would like to say that I think it has a lot to do with disaplan and commitment for us not the doc. I just think because this is so much more than about weightloss. The greater question we should all ask ourselves as we go through the process "how committed are we to ourself?" Good luck. "To thy ownself b true" forgot who said that.

If u r willing to stay the same maybe u should rethink this decision. We all loved our sweets, drinks but loving those things got us right here. I don't know about anyone else as for me,the old person with bad eating habits is going to stay in the OR, anew person will be rolling into recovery. Lol Really is a piece of cake or drink worth your health? If so continue as u are. I don't mean to sound mean, but this weight has cheated us. Your taste buds are going to change, the food u loved prior to surgery u may not want anyway. Good luck, but think hard the new person inside of u full of life energy is counting on u.

The point of doing this is to ensure you get enough nutrients, so u will not hve to go back to hospital and hve complications. Our nut says 30-20-30 which means no Water 30 b4 meals, 20 mintues to eat meal, and no water 30 min. Remember u hve to commit to the process no matter how hard, but we ate all here for u. You can do this.

The other day I posted a question regarding insurance. Today I received my approval I have bcbs my request was submitted on 25th and it was approved on Sept. 27th. I found out by calling bcbs my doctors office does not know yet, but I called them. Hoping to get a October surgery date.
