    I need Advice!

    I need Advice!

It sounds u hve made up your mind so why did u ask? The bigger question is if u had to take her to a psych what would his eval b? I would think u would want to know. At 14 she is going to tell u what u want to hear, come on mom, your conscious is telling already it may not b a good idea. Good luck to I bpth

    I need Advice!

Wow this is a big one. She is just 14 even adults struggle with the psych part of this procedure. It's more than just weight loss. I know according to my plan u have to see a shrink before surgery. I think u might want to rethink surgery for her now. U get it done and u both change your eating habits and take her to a shrink so she can get help figuring out why the behavior. If u don't figure that out you will just transfer addictions. I always say emotional decisions made usually r bad ones. Good luck

  5. It is truly a journey I hve lower back pain and arthoristists in one hip other than that this has been the best decision in my life. Challenge staying motivated to do some form of exercise. I speak at the community info to wls and support groups. Life is so different, I weigh once a month surgery date 10/29/12 lost 25 inches and 40 lbs. My NEW LIFE MOTTO is "I desire nothing old from my past, everything must be new, I have been given a second chance at life and will not waste one second of it ". Let me hear stats fr October sleevers we so rock.
  6. U will increase water exercise protein and watch grazing don't weigh but once a month good luck
  7. chris54

    Consequences of no protein

Your nut should have given you a range to target. Like everyone else said protein is very important. I have increased my protein and water and the weight is falling off and I am healthy that is really what you want so please dont worry about gaining. Eat protein, drink water and exercise this is the new life style that you have now. If we are honest fear is what got us all in this situation in the first place so why hold on to it. New day, new life new YOU good luck
  8. I am 9 months out (down 83lbs) and to my knowledge and based on my weight lost (which is slow but sure 2 lbs per week) I have never seen a stall or weight gain. The secret is simply and I will share this with you. ONLY weigh once a month (and I have since surgery) if you do this you will never know if you have stalled or not by the time you weigh your stall should be minimal or non exsist. Do your part keep up the protein, increase water, maintain low carb intake eat something every 3 hrs (small) to increase matablism and workout. This I believe has been successful for me oh my doctor concurs. Try it let me know what you think. Good luck to all
  9. I am in my 9th month high weight 365 lost 83 lbs its truly a blessing from God. I have not had one stall or weight gain. WHY because I weigh at the end of each month ONLY on my surgery day, workout 6 days a week and drink 10 glasses of water per day and consume 1200 calories a day and eat something every 3 hrs to boost my matablism loving me and life. Keep up the good work
  10. Hi it wont be hard, once you make up your mind to do what is necessary. I will be 8 months out the end of the month and I have lost 78 lbs, it is a great journey and I just want you to know you have to be committed to yourself. You have to do this for yourself and no one else. The procedure is just a tool, I have been successful because I made a commitment before surgery. I made a declaration to myself I was not going to try and eat the same way, the old me stayed in the OR the new me went to recovery and I have been on my journey every since. Oh there will be harder days than others, and you will face challenges daily to get in your water and protein. But I want you to know it is the best decision you will have ever made. So continue gain knowledge about the procedure and process, ask the professionals questions and enjoy the journey. Strap your seat belt on, know you can do this and enjoy the ride. Good luck.
  11. Again everyone is entitled to their opinion and for me I personally do not feel I hve to tell my medical procedures to anyone. To hve the courage to go through wls is a miracle, to make better food choices and exercise is a miracle from God. My opinion or yours is not up for debate or further discussion I say to everyone who takes this journey b fearless in your commitment to yourself tell who u feel needs to know, those that don't won't know. But have peace with your choices and never give up or let others opinion sway any decisions u make for your life. Good luck and enjoy the ride I am
  12. I am 7 months out down 78 lbs. I told my husband, one cousin and a few friends. I am very active in my church and I told them I was on a weight loss program that has a nut, doctor and exercise coach all true. Everyone is supportive because they know I bring my own food to potlucks, they know I drink a lot of water and I hve a fitness trainer and I share how hard exercise is. I found out there r couples and individuals who r inspired by my progress and they r walking working out etc. I feel the medical aspect is personal the exercise and how I now view eating and exercise that is the true commitment. Because the procedure will heal, then after that its all about your commitment to yourself. I say choose wisely give yourself time and enjoy the new opportunity and doors that r about to openup for u God bless.

    African American Sleevers

Good luck to all I am 5 mos out and no regrets I have lost 57 lbs but I only weigh once a month so I will know until the 29 what I lost this month. I know for sure if its not weight its inches. My challenge is exercise at least 3 times a week my goal is 5 days. My indulgence is shoes with a higher heel and pretty spring dresses (I buy the ones that I can lose two sizes and they still fit. Hair lost is present not a great concern yet my plan is to buy a wig and keep heading toward my goal, which I don't know what the number is I will know when I get there. FYI found a fantastic body shaper that hides everything got it at the avenue its the one that you wear your own bra wore a slinky material dress (red) could not see one roll praise God I was the talk of the church lol. They just know I am on a medically surprise weight lost program. I am so happy there is activity on this forum also I hve found a new shampoo and conditioner that has slowed down my hair lost. You can also hit me up at foodnoproblem@ gmail.com
