    Regualr Foods !!

    Just joined My Fitness Pal. LOVE IT! It allows you to see what all your "friends" are eating every day. It really helps when you see someone getting great results then you check their food logs to see what they have been eating. Check it out. If you like it "friend" me. Darkangel321

    Breads ????

    Morganjm & Tere1985...I've only been banded since 9/7/12 but I have only eaten lo-carb tortillas for use as bread. I usually make a cheese or sausage n cheese quesadilla. Yesterday I made a tuna melt. If you haven't already, give it a try. Good luck!

    Coke

    Way before I started this journey I too was a Coke addict. I is d to arrive at work carrying a 2 liter everyday. It was bad. When I decided to kick, my coworkers helped me with tough love. I started sneaking into the ladies room to have some Coke in a stall. Eventually, it worked. Having one became something I turned to under very stressful situations...but I knew I wad headed for a relapse. Then came Coke Zero...I Love It. Jump to this new me...Was told by my surgeon and nutritionist I would have to give up all carbonated drinks. If I chose to drink a soda it would have to be flat...oh hell no! I throw away flat soda...What is a Coke without the burn? During my 2 week pre op, I had vanilla & chocolate Optifast. I HATE THE VANILLA! Can't throw it away what do I do? Another addiction I had was Ice Cream. I used to mix my vanilla ice cream with Coke, 7UP, Root Beer and Sunkist Orange. It tasted best after the ice cream melted and blended in...heavenly. Now I mix my left over Vanilla Optifast with flat diet coke, diet 7up, diet sunkist and diet root beer. I still have the flavor of the soda I miss with the benefit of a healthy Meal Replacement shake.
  5. Wish my gas had gone away that fast. Good for you. I just ordered that TAP OUT work out set. Will deliver tomorrow. I will start on that hopefully Monday. Glad potatoes worked for you. :-)

    I think that is the right attitude to have...which is your choice. Sharing your experience with someone you feel can benefit is a positive experience. Because of those moments, and your hard work you will succeed!

    I agree with most of these posts. First and foremost, IT IS YOUR CHOICE WHEN AND IF YOU TELL! What you have said up to this point is the truth. Bottom line is you do what you need to do to succeed in this journey. Get support where you think you can. Avoid negativity when you can. Control what you can when you can. Good, bad, or indifferent, someone will always judge you and if you can control what and when you are judged then that's great. Congrats on your 50lbs. Cant wait til I hit that mark! And i'm not telling either!

  11. Decided to check out this thread for some extra motivation. I am amazed at the stories. I have to remind myself that this is what LBT is about...People sharing experiences, knowledge, failures and successes. So many stories are so very similar which makes it encouraging to KNOW that it can be done. My goal is also a toned & tight size 8. Before my official Pre op I was 245. Did my own thing to prepare for my official pre op...started that at 239lbs. Banded 9/7/12 at 231lbs. 223lbs today. My goal is 145lbs. Im 5.1" so that should be size 8. I am a tight 16 now. Your stories here really make me believe size 8 is in the near future. Just joined My Fitness Pal. Also very inspiring. Please keep posting these success stories.

  13. Never been to lapband.com. I will look at that one tomorrow. Yes, you can add custom food. There are foods in their database as "Homemade". I'm thinking these were custom foods added by other members.

  19. I've not lost since last week and it is discouraging. I know it's still early in and we are all different but I dont see anyone with my slow progress. I've taken your advice increased my calorie intake eating more. Im still in ketosis, moderate as of this morning. Im also considering the fact that my exercise in the last week was a little less than the pace I had been maintaining. I guess healing is ok. I had to put a bandage on the wound nearest my breast where my bra rests. It looked as though it opened up. One thing new is the last 24 hrs my face broke out. That I really dont like. Don't know why but I know eventually, that too shall pass.
