I feel okay for the most part. I'm still sore and tired. I'm not hungry at all, so it hard to get my fluids in. I think about broth and get sick. And for some reason I feel really alone during the . To much time on my hands to think. By the way anyone from Pittsburgh? Thanks for letting me vent.

My surgery was Oct 11th. I have been having the same pain for two days now. Talked to the crnp yesterday and she said it was normal. Told me to apply heat but not to hot. Keep me posted on what they say at your visit.

Welcome home!!! If the pain meds make you itch try liquid Tylenol Rapid Burst. It works super quick without the itchy and dopey side effects.

Girl!!!! I am right there with you!!!! My surgery is in the morning...Well....I am not sure the time yet...they will call me between 3 and 5 this afternoon! I am feeling allllllll those same feelings. BUT~~~I did watch tons of youtube videos last night with folks who have had GREAT success with their band...So....this was such an encouragement!

We are going to do WELLLLL!!!! Don't worry..Yeah....easier said than done! But~~~I will check on you from my hospital room...or either from my house when I get home! We CAN do this!!!!

How was surgery? I did pretty good with mines. Home already walking and laying on the couch. Hope all is well!!!

I was banded this morning!!! Everything went great the dr said he did repair a small hernia (never knew I had one) other than that no complications!! Had my surgery at 9:15 and got to come home around 2:30. All in all I'm doing well' date=' there's a faint pain on my left side but other than that in doing wonderful!! Congrats....I got banded yesterday. We have to stay 24 in the hospital in Pittsburgh. But im home now. Glad to hear u are doing good. Keep posted.

Had surgery yesterday at 10:45am. Lapband and hernia. Came home today about 7pm. They have me on pain meds that I think make me itch. I'm so sore around my stomach. But happy about my new life. I love this site...I'm going to need alot of support. Thanks everyone.

same with me also! i have surgery tomorrow in the morning. the surgery is not until 8:30am but they want me to be there at 6:30 am, lawd! lol and i couldnt sleep last night, but im more excited than nervous tho! n i have never been hospitalize for any in my life, so im pretty darn nervous on that part but im just excitied to get this over with to begin my new life, as healthy n skinny o' me!!! lol n to get off the smoothies, they r pretty good but im just sick of them!!!

You will do good on your surgery and a new You will appear on the other side. Look at the tickers on the posters, WE are all losing weight together. You can also do it by following your doctor's orders and understanding how to eat for future weight loss and good health. It's now about You!

Okay guys...its that time!!! I could not sleep last night just thinking about surgery. I should hear by 10am what time I have to be at the hospital tomorrow. Now im so nervous I cant think straight. All I can think about are the things that could go wrong...before and after surgery. I keep asking myself if im making the right choice. Which I know I am doing the right thing. I know that this is the begining of my new life. Is this normal to feel this way? Or is it a sign? Thanks for letting shar emy fear.

Hi all! So I am finally getting the lap band on Friday (woohoo!) but I'm nervous about the gas pains. Is there any way to avoid them or at least minimize them as much as possible? I am a big baby when it comes to pain' date=' and I've heard the gas pains can be awful. Any suggestions are welcome!

You will be fine. I had my band surgery oct 5- 4 days ago. Just remember that after the surgery your only goal is to relax and heal, it's not to look at or worry about the scale. That will come in time.

Thanks everyone for your answers and support. I just called my surgeons office and they said I can add Protein to Water. So I can make it until Oct 11th. And I guess your right this pre-op diet will get me ready for the post-op diet. Thanks again:)

Hi...my name is Nadine. I have a surgery date of Oct 11th. Starting this process was easy for me. I made up in my mind that I no longer wanted to be heavy and have my knees hurt all the time. Half of my family is type 2, and I didnt want that for myself. But now that my surgery is only 3 days away I dont know how I feel. Am I nervous or just chicken (scared to change)??? And this 5 day clear liquid diet is not making things any better. I have no energy and im dizzy all the time. HELP!!!
