I'm a slow loser too, but I've come to terms with it. Besides the weight is moving down (eversoslowly) and staying down so I can't complain.

I'm doing great. I'm almost halfway to my goal. When did you have your surgery? I had mine in July '08. I love Dr. Spivak and am so glad I chose him.

Were you trying out for a role in Star Wars when your new Avi was taken?

Hi, Emily. Good to see you are still active here on LBT. It's also good to see you are making some good progress on your weight loss now. We both started very slow but it seems we may finally be getting a little more help from our band.

What's up with you? I haven't been on as much lately, work's been crazy with the fiscal year end stuff. Our fiscal year is 11/30 so the last 2 weeks of November is always my insane time.

Andrea, I grew up in Radcliff and graduated from NHHS in '86. Did you grow up in E-town or are you a transplant there?

Hi Emily. It's good to hear from you. It's also good to hear fromsome who's experiencing similar issues. I wish my tummy was on the flat side, but unforunately that is where i do carry most of my weight. I had thought I'd be down at least 30 lbs by now but it is just crawling along... I think part of it is that I had to quit exercising to give my knee a rest and I haven't gotten back into it yet. I really need to restart my exercise program.

No, nothing was posted about you, it's just I hadn't seen any postings from you on any of her threads lately so I was just reaching unwarranted conclusions. I find your postings so uplifting I missed them. Sorry to hear you've hit the wall with the weight loss but steady wins the race in the end so come on back.

How are you doing? My loss is going slow but 18 lbs lost is better than 18 lbs gained.

Crystal, I haven't seen you in the usual threads lately. Also, have you and BBK had a falling out?

Plain, I was reading your posts on the Thread "Are we ready for a Black President?" and felt I had finally met someone with my political views. I am a disenfranchised Republican who registered Independent because I can't quite see myself as a Democrat and Libertarian was not an option on the form.

I know exactly how you feel, Emily. I haven't lost any weight since 2 weeks post-op even though I've cut back on food and am exercising. I don't get it. Many do say that after the 2nd and usually the 3rd fill, you will start to lose again... one can only hope.

Hi Emily. How are you doing? Now that we are 5 weeks post op, how many pounds have you lost? I've managed to lose 13.5 lbs and got my first fill on 8/19 (3cc in an 8cc band). No restriction with the first fill so I am scheduled for another fill on 9/2.

Hi Triser. I see you are in the Houston area. I got banded by Dr. Spivak, who was your doctor? What area of Houston are you from? I'm from Kingwood/Humble area and a couple of us are trying to start a support group to meet in the Kingwood/Humble area.

Hi HB! I had my surgery on 7/16/08 by Dr. Spivak at True Results in Houston. Who performed your surgery? Are you planning on signing up for any support groups?

Hi Gayle. I'mn a recent bandee and looking for mentors who've been banded for a while and is successfully losing weight.
