Hello Monday.... I didn't catch up on all the posts, just skimmed it enough to realize that Slim had a major breakthrough. Yay, Slim! Glouc, if you haven't gotten the Excel thing figured out by this weekend, my DH can help you when you come by. He can practically write software programs with it. I know just enough to get by.

I wasn't the least bit surprised at how Mafia Dad "kept" his promise. I figured he'd manipulate Mike into voting off Kirstin. What did surprise me was that Mike thought Kirstin was his biggest competition. HELLLOOOOO, where the hell have you been the last 16 weeks while Tara was kicking your ass up and down Fat Ranch Drive? I never thought Kirstin was a threat to anyone but herself. There's just something about her that has "loser" written all over it and I don't mean in the sense of Biggest Loser.

Thanks Beth. In a lot of ways, we all go through it. When we're self-conscious about our weight, we always feel like everyone is looking at us and judging us for being fat.

Can someone be nice and summarize the article?

Toddler was the BEST stage. I loved it when both mine were toddlers. Trust me, you will miss this stage when she grows out of it. The bedtime thing is a whole different issue and it's not about being the mean one, but the one who loves her enough to be tough. As a parent, you don't have the luxury of being nice all the time. Yes to loved ones (including kids even if you'll not all that in love with them at the moment).

WTG! I'm a bouncer, too. I guess we all are to some extent. I gain and lose the same 2-4 lbs for 2-3 weeks before finally hitting the low and then back to the bounce game with the next 2-4 lbs. I've become too resigned to it to get frustrated with it anymore. I figure that's just the way it goes. At this point, I'm pretty sure unless I start a serious exercise program I'm not going to make much more progress. My doc says he considers the band a success if you lose 50% of your excess weight. I've done that so he's happy but I most definitely am not. How adorable! I love little pygmy goats.

Facebook has most of my attention these days.

Bella, what an accomplishment in such a short time! The difference is amazing. Are those your beautiful daughters in the before pic? You know, seeing the difference between your before and after pic I kinda get why fat people are "invisible." My eyes slid right over your before pic but lingered over your after pic. It's almost as if you see a big person you think it's rude to stare and just look away.

Sounds perfect to me Babygrl. You know, 10-20 years ago, noone would have even thought to ask if it was wrong to have children doing chores, running errands or even "working."

Colorado - so glad to hear Shane's home and well. Heartfire - ouch! Glad to hear the doc didn't think it was a slip. Brought tears to my eyes. That was awesome! Let me know how you like Yoga stress management classes. As for pre-teens/teenagers, I think they're shocked anyone over the age of 30 can even walk much less run. Remember, we're all decrepit to them, regardless of our weight.

I felt sorry for Max but at the same time I felt a bit disgusted because he's so into self-pity he actually looked like he resented his brother's success. On a purely human/emotional level I can understand that but still... if you love someone, you should celebrate their success--not compare how their success makes you an even worse failure. It's that kind of mentality that probably holds him back in life as well as weight loss. I still dislike Ron. Honestly, I think Ron kept Kirstin, not because he thought she was a potential threat to Mike, but because without Kirstin, his alliance is gone and he knew without her vote, if he or Mike fell below the yellow line, they would definitely get sent home. Felipe voted off Laura on a purely emotional front because she sent his cousin home the week before. If he had been thinking straight, he would have sent Kirstin home since that would break up Ron's alliance. Kirstin, why the hell are you still there? You need to go home because I'm tired of seeing you on TV.

I tried journaling but I suck at it 'cause I always forget and then I'm guessing and that takes me right back to guessing while not journaling. For me, it's just not realistic to expect myself to journal. That was one of the reasons I sucked at Weight Watchers. My eating is getting a bit out of hand (mostly eating too much choc and candy). I think my food portions are a bit large but still within reasonable bounds. I need to just say no to choc and candy. My weight loss is stalled. All told, I've only lost 10 lbs since Christmas. That's about 3 lbs a month average and I feel at a minimum I should be doing 6 lbs a month. Sigh...

Happy belated Easter all. Way too much work; not enough self-motivation... kinda like losing weight -- still too much to lose and losing some of that newbie motivation now that the scale doesn't seem to want to budge at all! Glouc, hope the fill helps you back on the weight loss train. I think I need a tweak too but I have a feeling my doc will frown at me since he didn't even want to give me that last fill a couple of months ago. He's right about quality of life but I'm having a bit of a hard time controlling portions. Not that I'm eating anywhere near what I used to eat, but I'm eating a lot more (plus I've been hitting the choc and candy hard).
