Hey Group. I changed me name, I was Old Hippie Gal. Just wanted yall to know. School is going well. for a 56 yr old I am starting to feel younger and more girly. lol I think its because I am going to school with alot of young and girly girls. guess that is what happens when you go to beauty school. lol. I am doing very well in nail class. really got my sculptured nails down pretty good. all the cosmo girls are wanting me to do theirs lol So all is good. I got my box today and my oh my! I love it!!! Thank you so much! I received wind chime, popped whole wheat chips, homemade necklace (it is soooo pretty), Protein Bar, Decaf sugar free coffee( never knew), pumpkin seeds, two nectar shakes one fuzzy navel the other chocolate truffle( always wanted to try these). And spoons and plastic take a long.oh yea hot tea!!!

I am on my second bag of the cheese sauce. It is pretty good stirred into things. I make a couple ounces of mashed pot with skim milk and a scoop of the cheese Unjury, very good, I have the chicken flavor and I don't love it but don't hate it. They both are a good way to change it up from all sweet. Their website has recipes and they usually mail you some recipes with your order. The cheese they don't have in individual size, so you could order the whole one of that and a couple of the chicken flavored in the individual size and see how you like them. I just put the cheese into some mashed cauliflower and it was pretty darn good.

You know this is sorta like the question one might get when they have three or four children and people have the nerve to ask you "are you done yet?" I mean seriously is that rude or what. I had four sons and with each one everyone said are you going to have another and try for a girl, or are you stopping because you know you aren't ever going to get a girl. Well who the heck said I was trying to have a girl. I wanted my children. Sorry for the rant. People are just rude that is all. Nobody asks anybody if they are going to stop making more money or getting better at a talent. But somethings people just have to make their business. Sorry again can't seem to let this go.

I had the revision on Dec. 5. I had my lapband for seven years. I only lost about 30 pounds over and over and over again, I had no complications with the band, no slip or errosion. But I was either too tight or too loose and just never found what would work. Also even when losing with the band my diabetes was still way out of control and it did nothing to help that. So after seven years of up and down weight loss and ending up on over 300 units of Insulin a day which caused great inflamation thoughout my body to the point of me being close to homebound, I had the revision. My family Doc and three specialists thought the bypass would be the answer to the diabetes. So I went through the process and even lost 28 pounds pre op. Now almost four weeks post op another 10 pounds gone, And as far as the diabetes it is still there and I still need insulin but about 35 units a day instead of 300 to get the same numbers. So I am still hopeful.

My very favorite is the Fuzzy navel. I have been drinking this for years. I was banded eight years ago drank it then, and now revised in Dec to RNY and drank pre op and post op. It is really great to do something without milk. I love it. At the Vitamin Shoppe you can get single serve size so you can try some different flavors before you commit to the big barrel (just kidding but they do seem huge) also BJ Baratirics have single serve available on line and they have great service very quick and inepensived shipping. I love them.

Why did you refuse to go with them crazy!! Its always best to let them take you in if that's what they think should happen. that way you get your answers asap and can work on fixing it.

Dec 5, 2012 I had the band removed and the bypass at the same time, also had an ovary, cyst, mass and a lot of scar tissue removed. I am so glad I was able to have both done at the same time.
I think it just depends on your doctor and the amount of damage done by the band. Hopefully you can have both at the same time.

Thanks for replying. My little girl us doing wonderful. I used this stuff called Parvaid and bought pedialyte and she ended up getting better which makes me a very happy person. I thought she wouldn't make out but that stuff worked great along with keeping her hydrated. The vet I took her to was suprised because they say that doesn't work but I know. Too many people that have used this and saved their dogs life.

Every surgeon is different so I'm not sure what the 30 carbs represents. As far as Protein drinks, I have tried Bariatric Advantage vanilla. I use it with cinnamon and almond milk. I have also tried Syntrax chocolate Truffle, Cappicinio, and Fuzzy Navel. They are all really good. Out of all of it I really miss my daughter. This in and out of the hospital is hard. It just brings out a lot of negative emotions for me. About ex and him not caring to take care of his daughter. About everything he's done. But honestly, I think she would rather him not be around. I'm about 140 miles from my daughter and it isn't easy. She said sue them too.
Thank you everyone through this hard time. I'm having difficulty drinking and eating. I'm afraid I've started Hair loss. My Aunt is going to bring me some Isopure peach mangos Protein Drinks tomorrow. Tonight I was able to choose a very good dinner w came to 38 Proteins. Which was good for 1 meal. I just want to feel better and be at home w my baby.

Great news and the diabetics of the group will understand this. Went to Dr. today and I am officially off all Meds now and the A1C was 6.9. If I do not lose another pound I have achieved my goal all ready. Even through all of our adversities it is possible to achieve our individual goals through this surgery.

At the hospital. The uti is unbearable and I think I'm dehydrated.

Awww poor Sammy! I hope they get it under control for you. UTIs are absolute torture! hang in there; you will get through this.
