  1. I am going to the meeting! Who else is attended. I think now would be the time to get to know some of you maybe meet a couple minutes wore the meeting. In pretty certain by the last email we won't be getting any answers about next steps rather just restrictions. My question is why should we continue to pay for something that is no loner being services to us. Apparently fills will be free of charge but really how Long can we expect these surgeons to volunteer??? I would rather be except and cu my losses with this clinic and no longer pay and go somewhere else. So frustrated!!!!!
  2. I have requested to be added to the Facebook page.
  3. Thehardway, I was banded last aug. I can't even imagine how you must feel almost 3 weeks out! This is shifty for everyone and the worst part is knowing nothing! Do you live in the GTA? I also called a couple of times today and nothing. According to the information I found out they have a legal obligation to find other resources for there patience. That being said I'm really hoping either another company bought them out or we are being passed on to another know. Company to facilitate and continued support. I know what your feeling. This is so crazy!
  4. I got an email last night that states CIBO clinic where I had the lapband procedure is going bankrupt! I'm devastated, annoyed, shocked, and can't believe this is happening! I feel scared because now there is no support and even though the email states there are looking at ways to continue to care for there existing patience. Is that even possible! I am hoping there are some people from that clinic on here so we can chat and get some more information but I have felt sick to my stomach since last night reading it! If there is anyone out there who has had surgery at that clinic how are you feeling?
  5. I everyone thanks for your posts. I spoke to my surgeon and he assured me that this is normal and I will probably feel it forever. I had a port revision oct 29 I assume most of the sat tissue is healing now but generally only feel this when I have an extensive ab workout! Thanks for all your advise!
  6. It seems everyone I do a lot of an workouts that I can feel my port pulling. I know it's in the muscle but sometimes it can be very uncomfortable.. It's not a pain I feel all the time but I do notice when I try to get up. Sometimes on any given day and I'm sleeping on my left side and quickly move to my right I can feel the port pull. Anyone else feel this?
  7. HI LBT Addict. You will only feel a little prick of the needle. Other than that you don't actually feel the band getting tighter. Make sure you stay on liquids for 48 hours and move to solids slowly. good luck
  8. Diona, I hear you girl. I have 8cc in an 11cc band and although with every fill, I feel like Im getting closer to understand what the band is doing for me. At the same time, I have only lost 20 lbs. It's hard but we will get there. I keep thinking OMG i have 8cc am I going to get to the point where I start to loose weight. I have been at a plateau for months and can't seem to break it. Tomorrow is my day 1 again. To shake things up and get that scale moving. I go for a fill on Wednesday and hoping that pushes me in the right direction. We got this!

    Small fills

I'm so happy there's a thread like this one! I was banded aug 20 and didn't get my first fill until oct 29 due to port revision. Since then I have 8cc in an 11 cc band and have only lost 20lbs. I workout 4-5 times a week and track everything I sat. I am a small loser for sure. Doc says it has nothing to do with the volume as well as it take a little longer with a realize band to get to your sweet spot! So in goin with the flow and praying the numbers start moving! Good luck everyone

  11. I just spoke to my surgeon and I explain to him what I was feeling. He told me not to worry and as long as I could eat, drink and things were going through the band that it probably wasn't the band. He said its definatly the band telling you its there and its working, so remember to chew and slow down. I go back in to see him on Monday but if it gets worse or doesn't go away in the next couple of days to call him again. Hopefully whatever this is, goes away. Im going to try liquids for the remainder of the day and see if that helps. I will check in tomorrow to let you guys now how I am doing.
  12. Hi everyone, Thank you for your honestly. I just called my surgeon. He is in surgery but is going to call me back today. I don't know what this feeling is, but Maybe I do need a slight infill. I am technically newly banded only a couple of months so I know I need to work on my bite size and remember to chew. Its all a work in progress. Truth be told, I definatly got a little scared by the comments above appreciate more than ever the truth. If I need a I won't waste anytime in getting one. plus I think I will keep myself on liquids until i feel whatever this is pass. I do not want to throw up as i know how bad that could be for the band. But this feeling is very strange and I hope it goes away soon.
