Have a great time!! Just imagine how much better this vacation will be without the extra weigh. I know my first plane ride after my surgery was exciting as I was so much more comfortable in the seat and had to tighten my seatbelt even more. Flaunt that new body. You have worked for it.

I have hit a few stalls along the way and each time as long as I increased my water and protein and walked a few more blocks....the weight would start coming off again! Hang in there. Honestly your body needs a rest from all that stress of weight loss once in awhile anyway. It WILL come off though....if you are patient and persevere. Good luck!

Makes total sense! I set my goal at 200... I know it's still obese but I know I'll feel great at that weight since it's 30 pounds LESS than my lowest adult weight! Anything beyond that is gravy. I have not weighed less than 200 since 8th grade so I can't even wrap my mind around weighing the 145 that I'm "supposed" to weigh.

Yayyy for you! I too am thinking of a little casino reward. I usually take between $100 and $300 and spend time on the penny slots and do quite well!
Continued success to you - enjoy your trip!

I LOVE the elliptical. I used to do it for an hour at a time and would burn 700 - 800 calories. I stopped after a few months, because there were NO results that were positive. I essentially held ground right were I was. I must have been taking in enough calories to offset the calories I burned, so I was pretty much a hamster on that stupid thing.
Now I'm hoping, once I'm sleeved and ready to start rigorous exercising again, that when I get on the elliptical and work my way back up to that level I will be able to kick butt and see results that I expect!
If you can....push yourself to go longer on the elliptical. You will burn calories about 2-1 vs. the treadmill everytime....and the endorphens are WONDERFUL!!!
    Good luck.

I completely understand. I have been stuck at 219 for over a month. I have tried breaking the stall but not much luck. I also want to be 190-200 by january. just keep up the work outs and monitor your intake. make sure your protien and fluid intake is up. good luck.

I am by no way an expert but I am under the impression that when falling off the right path there are methods to get back on track. I myself am a newbie so hopefully someone can help shed some light with you. But my facilitator told me that when you hit a rough spot or go on vacation or as life sometimes happen you can always jumpstart the weight loss again by following the preop and post op diet again...I hope that helps. I haven't been thru this yet but can sympathize with you. I couldn't even imagine how upset I would be if I gained weight now or in 2 or even 10 years!!!

I had a headach for about 3 days, it got easier!!! I think the second thoughts are how many times have we tried to diet and never worked.... That was my biggest fear, that this would not work for me!!......... I got over it by reading all the stories I could about sleeve and the positive side. The pictures, how happy people are now. That in 5 months or so you can eat "normal" if you wanna call it that but just very small portions!!!
    Good Luck!!

Darkkyss got a reaction from Jammy in How Long Should I Be On Pre-Op Diet?
Yes, depends on Dr. but Honestly from what I have read. I think being on a pre op Diet is the best. It helps shrink the liver which makes surgery easiery for everyone around. I was unable to do FULL liquids but did 2/3 drinks a day and ate salads, 5oz chicken, or fish, VERY low carbs. It helps liver. Then 24 hours before surgery I did full clear liquids, popcicles, broth, jello, water. It was hard but so glad I did!
    Good Luck!!!!!!!
