RissyRoe got a reaction from kerry1983 in When Will I Feel Myself Again?
I know I feel the same way and I'm 5 days post-op. I've heard from many people though that they have all felt this way and every thing that we are feeling is normal. Although I'm tired and weak and dizzy right now I know that I'm not alone and that makes me feel a little better. My friend is 14 months post-op and she said the first month is hell and then it gets better and better. She's eating everything she did before just in smaller amounts and she's this tiny little thing. When I talked to her it made me feel better. Hope I helped.

RissyRoe got a reaction from MoreganK in How To Eat Fast Food With Vsg
My surgeon told me to enjoy fast food if you only have it once in awhile. But if it's a regular thing that's different.

RissyRoe got a reaction from RoseNP in Tenderness
I can't lay on my left side, it's very tender but it only bothers me when I lay on it. It's fine otherwise. Anyone else experience this?

RissyRoe got a reaction from Lissa_S in Rollercoaster
I'm now post-op day #6. Even though it's been a really tough 6 days I'm proud to announce that I've lost 21lbs and I'm only 98lbs from my goal weight. Thank you to every one on here for your support and advice. I'd be freaking out a lot more if it wasn't for you guys assuring me that everything I feel is normal

RissyRoe got a reaction from HalfTheWoman in 5 Weeks Post Op And....
I'm 3 days post-op and have lost 14 pounds. If I lose that much within 5 weeks I'd be ecstatic! Congratulations that has to feel awesome! I'm currently 254 and would like to get down to 150.

RissyRoe got a reaction from ebe in A Little Blue.
I'm thrilled with the 16 pounds I've lost since my surgery 4 days ago, but in a sense I'm starting to think, "I messed up by doing this, I ruined my life". I know that I'm still under a week post-op and the full liquid stage is miserable but does it truly get better like I've been told? Do you ever feel normal again with the only difference that you lost a lot of weight and can't eat as much as you used to? I've been kind of sulking all day because I'm still gassy, I don't have much energy, and the liquids are boring. I'm so afraid that I'll feel this way the rest if my life and I won't get to enjoy life itself. It seems like all I'm doing is worrying about getting enough fluids and Protein in. Any encouragement would be great, I'm in a funk :/

RissyRoe reacted to M_Johnson in Treated Different......
Has anyone else noticed that men and women treat you different since losing weight? Men certainly do not hide the fact they stare, hold doors, flirt, and smile more and don't get me wrong, its flattering. Its a great feeling however women become catty and not so nice. Nothing else about me other then my weight has changed. I have actually lost female friends over my weight loss.

RissyRoe got a reaction from tonya9969 in Cravings.
When you've been addicted to food and have turned to it got every thing for years, you don't think about that. That's like telling a recovering drug addict that he's an idiot for having drug cravings even though he knows it's bad for him. Have a little heart, it's not easy for everyone.

RissyRoe reacted to JenniJune in Anyone Regret It?
Some days I do, but those feelings are based on my own food addiction. But I am less than a month out, and this is when things are hardest: you can't eat what you want, some days it's hard to eat at all. BUT, every week it gets easier. So I know that week 5 will be better than week 4, and week 12 will be better than week 11. So with that in mind, I know that there will be no regrets: I'm losing steadily, and my husband has even noticed a difference. I am getting healthy.

I appreciate the support from the people who aren't rude, it means a lot and it's helping me stay focused. So far everyone has agreed that the response was out of line but it's okay. I pay attention to the positive input because that is what I'm here for. Thank you for your encouragement!
