It was like 42 - not low. I am 5'7". Started at 302' date=' lost 25 lbs pre-op, lost 10 more the first week after surgery and have been stuck since then. I just don't know what else to do.[/quote']I am so feeling you pain and frustration. I am very similar in stats. I was sleeved on 10/11 lost 12 lbs postop the 1st week and nothing else since then. I do see inches but zero lbs. My BMI is current 40, so I have eliminated that as a reason. If there really is no answer at least know you are not alone!!

Started this journey at 300lbs! I lost 33lbs pre-op' date='I was 267 day of surgery(Oct 9th) as of today(Nov 1) I'm 252.0! It's been rough, not with pain but learning to eat again, and not being able to excersise! His month has flew by so fast I can't believe it! If I could do it over again, I would minus the pain that I was in the first week! Lol, I haven't been on here as much because 2weeks after surgery I moved here to Pennsylvania! So I've been busy! But hopefully I'll post more soon with more weight loss!!! [/quote']I have not posted since recovery and was missing all the education and comparisona us Octover sleevers had comprised over the preop months.
I weighed 296 in July, 260 on surgery day (10/11) which was a prepop loss of 36lbs. for 3 weeks post op with stalls in between I only lost 12lbs at a current weight of 248lbs. I am grateful and frustrated at the same time only because exercise has been limited due to my energy level and strength want allow me to move as much as I would like.
I just started soft/pureed food today and must say that one scrambled egg with laughing cow cheese was the BEST. I need several more options but it was a great start for sure!!
I went back to worI on monday, 10/29 and have been able to work on each of my 15 min breaks which helps me get my energy back into exercising...so I could not agree more ONE DAY AT A TIME!
P.s. I am already thrift shopping went from 20W to 16W in pants and from 3X tops to XL.. Loving it!

Im on day 6 of my liquid diet and my mouth is sooooooo dry. I drink 2-3 Protein Shakes a day. chocolate Peanut Butter Protein Powder shake. I add bananas and peanut butter for extra Protein. But know that the reason my mouth is dry is cause of Water. I need to drink alot more. Cant wait til the liquid diet part of all this is over and i can eat actual food again. I think this is the hardest part. My surgery is the 10th and as it gets closer. I get more nervo us. I'm going in for revision from band to sleeve as well with DR D. Kim as well on the same day.
My biggest fear is that I have the band removed and then have to return for a 2nd procedure.
I started my liquid diet on the 26th and just got creative with mixing 1 T of s/f Jello pudding (cheesecake) with blending my vanilla Protein powder and 3 ice cubes...delicious!! (lunch today will be mixed with 1 T of PB2 powder) yummy!

Thank you very much! Learning something new every day!Me, too.. I know that my doctor requires that I take a pepcid the night before surgery and another the morning of surgery, but I now know why....thanks!

I'm really feeling it today... I went to Walmart and I purchased my medications:
Children tylenol, GasX strips, pepcids, hall's cough drops with Vitamin Cc listerine strips, chapstick, and filled my prescription for B12 nasal drops and most important "the codine."
I also purchased my Ninja blender, food scale, lil graduates plates, fork, and spoon set, broth, s/f puddings to add to Protein Powder, propel zero, and Isopure RTD for the next 11 days....
I hope I did not forget anything!!! If I did someone please chime in...

If you GOGGLE enough you can find the doctor and his committee who will OK Medicare for your state' date=' despite the fact the the FEDS ok-ed. In California it is DR. Morton at Standford who emailed me back and said they are meeting in November. I think politics are involved, so after election! I have everything done for preop for 3 months and waiting. . . .I really think the sleeve makes the most sense! Good luck to all![/quote']Thank you, I was able to get all the information I needed on this subject from my surgeon. He provided me with name of the hospital that accept medicare and following that lead the hospital provided me with a list of surgeona that accept that insurance... I forwarded the information to my mom and she is well on her way to starting the process!

Reality has set in. I have completed my pre-op nutrition class, preop admission for the hospital. I am starting to really feel the fear and nerves shoot thru the roof. I am so fearful of the unknown.. I am starting to doubt my decision. I have lost 30 lbs since the last doctor visit on 7/11/12, so my current weight is 269 lbs. I do not start my preop diet until 9/27/12 and I am sure to lose another 15 to 20 lbs by my surgery date of 10/11/12. I am so confused, scared, nervous and worried if I am doing the right thing! Is there others that feel this way this close to the surgery date? Help me October Sleevers regroup...
