I got banded on August 1st! I decided to sign up for a support system to help make this a more fun and inspiring journey. I'm 24 years old, engaged :wub: , and planning to get married in a few months (once the majority of my weight is off). I've fought with my weight all my life, and I am so ready to change the cycle. I know this won't cure me, but it will help change my mentality. My fiance is a fairly athletic, healthy person with much better eating habits than me! I'm looking forward to starting our lives together and creating new habits with him. My mom had a gastric bypass in March of 2006 and my dad just had a gastric sleeve in mid-July, and they make excellent supporters. I'm very thankful for my family support, and look forward to finding more support and encouragement through people I meet here!
