  1. Best of luck Scotty. When do you go in and looking forward to hearing from you when your up to it.
  2. They are not all pigs and once we all feel better a out ourselves, great people will flock as our confidence in ourselves shine through In my first marriage as I was big then too, he thought he could treat me like crap and put me down constantly and because I would lock myself behind closed doors he thought I would never leave because I had so little confidence. Little did he know, I was studying, saving money for me and the 2 boys and looking for a new home. So long story short, one day packed up after a few months planning it and started my new life with my then 2 kids and never looked back regardless of his pitiful attempts to try and get me back. My sons were 3 and 6 months and best thing I ever did get them away from an abusive pig of a man as my boys, now 20 and 17 HATE any type of abuse or violence towards women. Then 2 years later met my now husband and he is just wonderful so there are decent men out there and they will come to you Sorry about the life story
  3. Kelli - 1 word AGONY So glad I did it though and proud of myself for not complaining once throughout my 45 mins of torture. Bring on tomorrow
  4. That is awesome Puppyphat - I would do exactly the same, except I'm now in a 18 not 24 as I was but if I could get to a size 12-14, hell yeah I'm going to be in those shops trying on clothes - something I HATED doing as a 24!!
  5. This is sooo good Nessa, I feel exactly the same with running and even asked my PT if running tomorrow in my first session as this was my concern haha. Then I'm thinking 'good lord I'm going to have to wear 2 bras to hold them down'... Funny how we think, but I did have a laugh when I read this
  6. Wish me luck tomorrow - have my first personal training session which I'm doing twice weekly. I'm very nervous as haven't done intense exercise for many years so here goes, have to start somewhere
  7. Hi all, Well another week begins !! So envy you Aussie Girl travelling at the moment and good on you for being by yourself experiencing it, don't know if I could in a different country So glad that you can feel sexy in your body after losing 70+ kgs, you deserve all the happiness and attention you can get and it's a real shame but I'm finding even being married, my hubby whom never commented on me being a fatty but is so goggley eyed and can't stop with the attention, touching and compliments. It makes me wonder what he'll be like when I am at my goal OMG . Feels great though and wouldn't change it for the world as I feel like after all these years he has eyes only for me, if that makes sense.... In regards to food, I do not have a problem with any foods and can eat all meat types etc. during the week I'm always great but weekends come around and because we eat out a lot I get a little concerned with the scales. Jumped on yesterday morning and have actually gone down 1.5kg in a few days so that was great when thinking it should have gone up. I no longer drink soft drinks or have maccas, KFC but do like the sushi, mini pita from Nandos so that is my only bad habits prob once weekly. Also off the chocolate Kelliv - been meaning to ask you about your best friend and how is she towards you now and any compliments from her with your success to date !! Aussie Girl - continue to have safe travels and I too look forward to your updates Lila, hope you enjoyed your first weekend out if hospital and getting ready to head home for this new chapter in your life Have a great week all and count down is on for Scotty
  8. Lila, that is the greatest news!! Must feel so good to get out of that hospital Puppyphat - you look awesome Welcome Kate to our group. It is so true that is group of people are fantastic and we are all here for each other to offer support when ever we have a tough day. I had my three month appt with my surgeon the other day and he is really happy with my progress. It was interesting to hear that he now does more sleeves than bands and said this is his preference over the band. He did say that before I did mine in July it was about even between the two but there has been an increase in sleeves since. Anyway had a great week, started at gym and going to kick this up a level as would love to be at double digits by Xmas Have a good weekend everyone, I'm going to wallabies/all blacks rugby game tomorrow night so looking forward to even fitting in the chairs properly haha
  9. Lila, that is fantastic news and made my day bet you can't wait to get home and be with your family and so great with the 17kgs lose, absolutely brilliant
  10. Trust me Scotty, Puppyphat is so right, get through the first 3-4 days and you'll have no problems. I had terrible headaches, bad breath and just starving but you will find this will be the worst of the whole op!! Week 2 should be no issues and b4 you know it you will be going us on the losers bench . and by Xmas you will be feeling great Best if luck
  11. Bella - best of luck for today, thoughts are with you Maybe we need to do a thread here with everyone surgery dates as will all our members now I can't keep up with surgery dates for you all I had a great NSV yesterday - was looking for something to wear to my brothers for lunch and a swim and seen a netted top of my 12 yr old daughters (size M/L) to wear over my togs. I couldn't believe it when it fit perfectly...I was over the moon that I could fit into her clothes and showed hubby and he was blown away at it also . She said 'mum don't tell anyone you can now wear my clothes haha' Then had lunch with family and they were saying I'm now the smallest one of them all - THAT WAS GOLD So I hope everyone is well and ready for the next week ahead xx
  12. Nessa, you look fantastic!! Well done
  13. Lila, I'm so glad to hear from you but very sad that it has still been very tough for you. It shows how little I know but I would have thought if you have a leak then they would take you back into surgery and staple the leak location - obviously not the case. Then the possibility of a gastric bypass is wow !! I pray all went well today with your scan. We have all been so worried for you and please Lila if there is anything we can do, pls do not hesitate to let us know.. Is your family still with you on the Coast. I hope you get back home real soon xxxxx
  14. Dropped in to give us an update that is
  15. I've actually been thinking about her a lot lately and it is worrying. I hope it is 'no news is good news' - she last dropped in on the 20/9.
  16. and I love what you are wearing, you must be so happy with your results..
  17. You look FANTASTIC - how wonderful
  18. I have also lost 1kg from yesterday to get to my next goal. It was fluctuating for the last week and a bit and just wouldn't go under. Woke up this morning and promised myself that I wasn't going to weigh myself till Friday but couldn't help myself and jumped on the scale. I was so happy to see it under and ready for my next goal for the start of the month Scotty - great news on the sale of the car and op back on. You will feel so different by Xmas... Susie, can't wait to hear how your going when you weigh yourself. I really need to put the scales away for a week but I'm obsessed with seeing it going down. Saturday and Sunday was not the best eating as well as we had bbq's etc so a little of potato salad, kebabs etc so was actually nervous to see what was on the scale so was very surprised. Eat really well over the last 2 weeks then eat poorly and finally scale moves, so weird Lila, hope your are ok and just focusing on getting better. Can't wait to hear some positive news from you

  21. Does the Brisbane Sleevers want to meet for a coffee over the weekend. My mothers boss has come to Brissy for her op a few days ago and I am meeting up with her before she heads back out to Mt Isa so I thought perfect opportunity for us all to meet up for chat. Let me know what you think, a place that suits possibly south bank or Roma street parklands and a time that is good for you all
  22. Great work Kelli. I really hope she is ok and through her surgeon may be the way to go. Keep us updated
