  1. I officially weight less than the hubs!!

  2. Regular food now, no more protein shakes, and yes I have lost 22% of my excess weight, 11/2 was my 6 weeks post op. will see Doc in 6 more weeks!

  3. surgery 9/21 weight 267, now at 238 stalled
  4. o starting week 5 soft food, had a one egg omelet, and warm protein mocha for breakfast (ok I ate 1/2 of the 1 egg omelet) Still working on getting protein in and water, eating slowly and listening to feeling full! I am a work in progress

  5. I get my support from my work group I work with 8 of the most supportive and might I say thin athletic people ever, when I told them about my surgery they have been some of my best cheerleaders! (the hubs is #1) They understand, encourage and cheer me on, and listen! I also have several groups here online.
  6. I agree with all the carb loving and Whey hating, I push my self to swallow the shots and shakes, but put a carb in front of me and I have to remind myself why I need to walk away-5 weeks out from surgery and 40 lbs gone, 20 post surgery
  7. So I am 3 weeks out, I am getting about 550 cals a day with 2 protein shakes/and 1 protein shot and sometimes 1-2 tbsp of tuna salad (pureed). I work 9-10 hours a day. But am too tired to excercise, is this normal??

    Post Op!

So I made it!! Surgery was 9/21, wow there were some moments that I wasn't really sure I had made the right choice. The nausea, the pain and the taste all fun and adventurous! But now at 1 week and 2 days out, i am almost up to 64 oz of water a day, walking just over 1/2 mile a day and at 2 8 oz protien shakes, I am working it!! Things still taste funny, and I am learning to just deal. But oh by the way the weight loss? Yep super psyched about 15 lbs in 1 week. So to all preoppers, just hang in there it's all going to be worth it!!
  9. day 3 home and 5 days out from surgery! Feeling good, each day able to drink more liquids, and still working on protien, Yay! This is the best day yet only can get better

    Pain After Drain Removal?

I still have some pain but a lot less since the drain came out, and that was a nauseating experience. Yuck! But my left side is much sorer than the right where I didn't have the drain.
  11. day 2 of home, i physically feel good, but am still adjusting taste, nothing tastes the same! still working out what i will like and what I won't oh and who knew 8 million food commercials--makes me brain hungry

  12. I am home and up and moving around! Wow that little surgery kicks your butt for the first few days!!

    Fear Of Failure

I too am getting sleeved the 21st! I have the same fears, I have a friend who got the realize band in January and has gained weight. However, I agree that it's not magic and I will have to work (and I will fail sometimes) but in the end I will succede because I am trying. And you will too! (succede)!
  14. Way to go! I was laughing when I read this, I did a little dance when they notified me I was clear (I was at work)! Congrats, the time will go quickly!!
  15. Good luck, prayers your way and to all being sleeved tomorrow
