I was told I can have caffeinated coffee, and did the day after surgery!

I got mine done on the 18th July, I struggle sleeping too but find it easier to sleep on an incline of 4-5 pillows. I will wake up twice in the night, go for a short walk around the unit and then I'm right to sleep again while sucking on a few ice cubes. I don't wake up with the chronic intergestion pain that I was getting when sleeping flat with just 2 pillows.

I'm 4 days in, I had a white coffee the next day in hospital. My doc said it was ok, was only in hospital for an overnight stay, haven't had one since. I know someone who is much older that had the same doctor, he was only allowed clear fluids the next day and black coffee.
