Threetimesacharm got a reaction from Squidgy101 in Joining Weight Watchers after Gastric Sleeve surgery.
To the OP: I am a life time Weight Watcher member. I go to the meetings on occasion because I enjoy the information shared, stories and tips. I DO NOT follow their eating plan actually I have NEVER done the points program as I think it is senseless. I have always followed the VSG plan(protein, veggie, little carb). What I really like is getting the sticker in my book that reads such a low weight...............one that I never reached at W.W. They also do not need to know that I had WLS.

I think he was just saying like a man would, take it for a grain of salt. You were the big girl and if it was correct to call you this or not; men don't think like woman do. If he is younger, say under 30, give him a break, he hasn't been trained yet!! He clearly likes you, see where it goes, maybe you will be the one to set him straight; if not for you then the next gal.

Threetimesacharm got a reaction from MochaKelly in Do only 20% of RNYers experience dumping syndrome?
Exactly, eating too much is NOT dumping. Eating excessive sugars or fats can lead to dumping; stomach pain, intestinal pain, sweating, diahreha, vomiting. I can eat fat and sugars from yogurt and milk. Any highly sugared food is a No/no for me.

Threetimesacharm got a reaction from pfisher in How is the sleeve still working after 3-5 years?
okay so as someone who has had the sleeve for 3 years and going for the GB on Friday here is my opinion. Following the diet for me and losing weight in the beginning was very easy for me. I actually went way below my goal weight. Then I remember Christmas came around and it was then all down hill for me. I have been struggling for the last 1.5 years up and down. You will be able to eat anything, especially snack foods. I am hoping that the GB will help me not to have sugar and carbs, I really fear the dumping syndrome so I am not sure if I could eat sugar knowing this. I wish that I had just gotten the GB in the first place. Now I have lost weight and kept it off; 60 with the lapband and 50 with the sleeve hoping the remainder will stay off with the GB; I am just tired of being FAT!!!

I have had a TT, BL and arm lift. For me the pain was not that bad at all. I really think it depends on how you handle pain. I agree to not get all the body parts done at once. I suggest doing lower body stuff then upper body stuff. If you do both you wont be able to really move around at all and look after yourself.

Threetimesacharm got a reaction from L. Knight in What's the every day difference? Band to bypass
For me there is no comparison. No problems like with the band. Gastric bypass offers great restriction and no hunger. I have surpassed my goal something I could not accomplish with the band. I have not puked once and can eat salads and chicken. Remember the bypass is just a tool you technically can gain weight back with any weight loss surgery however I believe gastric bypass offers great restriction and dulls any hunger you used to have.

Right now you are mourning a DEATH the death of the strong relationship you had with food. You can't eat like you did and may never(hopefully) be able to again. You know what your aunt and Mom went through; and you chose to have the surgery. What is done, is done. Move forward with a positive attitude and use your surgery as the great tool that it is to seek a healthier, and yes happier life. Be an adult. suck it up and DO IT!! You know that you can.

    Since I have reached my goal weight I am profoundly appreciative of the words people use to describe me;
    Slim(heard this a few times)
    Thin - Wow!
Fit - now this one I am shocked at, I have never before been fit.
Teenie Tiny - this one is funny!
What words have people used to describe you? Are you amazed, shocked, happy, grateful or do you even not believe it.

Threetimesacharm got a reaction from Hopefully A Butterfly in Sleeved 2 years ago, thinking of D/S. Any here go to Mexico?
Yes I agree you should have had a gastric bypass at your weight. If Dr Ungson is no longer in practise I am sure that whomever he trained is well qualified. I had bariatric surgeries in Mexico by two different doctors and both surgeries were great. Best of luck!! Oh and I hear that yes DS is under 10,000 I had a quote and I beleive it was 9 and change.

Threetimesacharm got a reaction from L. Knight in Much slower weight loss when revision from lapband to bypass
I had sleeve to bypass revision and considering I weighed much less I lost I beleive at a quicker rate. I see you are eating oats for breakfast; during the wieght loss phase I would never have eaten such a high carb food plus it does not satiate you Protein does. Stick with higher protein meals and maybe your weight loss will increase. Oh same with Beans I didn't have any beans until I reached my goal weight. Now I am 7.8 punds below my goal wieght and I do eat beans!

I'm thinking of migrating over to Match myself. I am on eHarmony and like it but my matches have suddenly switched to being from Canada. I had a lot of matches in the US but now every match is in Canada. I don't have anything against Canadians but I don't want to deal with the hassle.

Match is great. Been on it multiple times. I'm on it now, I'm just filtering people now until my liquids phase is over lol.
Had a wonderful 3 year relationship with an attorney I met on it. We broke up because he ultimately wanted to spend most of his time overseas. We're still good friends.
And then had a very serious, longterm relationship with a guy who owned a construction company. We broke up recently, due to family issues, but we lived together, were just about married, and were very much in love. Still not over this one .
I had not so great experiences on there as well, but I'm - unfortunately- a professional online dater at this point, and eharmony was horrible, tinder is def just a hook up app, and plenty of fish isn't bad, but I like memberships that make you pay because I find these men are more serious.
It depends how old you are too. I feel like match is for older 20's to 60's and there are better apps for different age groups. If you're jewish or christian, i have friends that have met their significant others and married from j date and christian mingle.
    That's my 2 cents!

My experience was not that great on Match for the same reason OKCPirate mentioned - women out number men. I should also mention it was my very first foray into "dating" and I really didn't know very well how to filter, etc.

In case you might want to know: Those aren't sugar free Popsicles.....no sugar added is very different than sugar free. Sugar free Popsicles have no carbs. The ones you show in the photo are made with fruit and fruit juice, so they have all the naturally occurring sugars and carbs; they just don't have any ADDITIONAL regular sugar added.

Threetimesacharm reacted to Oregondaisy in Online dating
I really wanted to give up on online dating since mostly hicks live in this town. I always get guys that want to take me fishing and hunting.
I rejoined Match and changed my pictures and profile. A guy popped up whom I had not seen before. Match has a way to live chat so we started messaging back and forth. He's apparently been lurking but finally joined on their 7 day free trial. He said he's seen my pictures before and wanted to write before but really wanted to hold it under 60. I am glad he messaged me because after chatting back and forth off and on all day Sunday, he finally suggested dinner. We really hit it off and I was amazed at how sweet and considerate he is. We talked at the table forever and then he asked if we could go to the beach and go hiking on Monday. Well that date lasted all day long and we were both kind of giddy about each other.
I am nervous cause he's only 55 and I am 63. I would have never messaged him. This morning he called and said he was deleting his match profile and hoped I would too. I did hide it instead of deleting it, cause I am not as optimistic as he is. I'd like to be, but I've been doing this awhile and something always turns out to be different than I thought.
I guess I am hopeful though! I know I loved being with him all day yesterday all day and into the evening!
