incontrol(almost) got a reaction from Letty1 in For those that are approximately 3 months post-op (or those who can remember that are further along).
eat super small bites and you will be fine. stop when you feel tightness/fullness. congratulations on your accomplishments! enjoy.

I'm so happy that Norway offers the surgery for free for those with a BMI over 40. I am 42.2.
I feel so sad reading threads and posts about people being denied. I could never afford this otherwise.

Hello everyone. My name is Sam and I'm from Las Vegas. I don't reply on here very often. I'm a little shy lol. But here are before and after pics of me. I'm 5'5" and started this journey at 271 lbs. I'm 4 months out and now weigh 208.

incontrol(almost) got a reaction from Cassie1/21 in Lap Band Or Sleeve
i wanted something permanent. i also did not want a foreign object in my body that would require monthly adjustment. so the sleeve it was. if you are questioning your decision i would go with the band - if sure, stick with the sleeve. hope this helps.

incontrol(almost) got a reaction from Capt Derel in Whats A Cheat To You?
i feel like i cheated myself for years by filling myself with poor food choices. now my "cheats" are comical. the other day i had some strawberries. they are not on my food list yet but they were so delicious. i am just living on the edge.

incontrol(almost) got a reaction from xavtay2 in Help! I Can't Get Anything Down!
those first few weeks are such a struggle. i am five weeks out and am finally able to take normal size drinks of Water. i know it is extremely difficult to stay positive when you feel so weak. just keep up the sipping/small bites and you will make it!

incontrol(almost) got a reaction from Baby Beluga in Feeding The Husband
my husband has had to pick up some of the meal preparations. i have been so tired/nauseauted/emotional that making meals is the last task i need to face. don't be afraid to ask for help. in regards to family gatherings, i have just steered clear for the time being. it is just too much to face so soon after surgery. hope this helps. good luck with your surgery.

Hi, no we don't get shots for shingles in the UK just a 5 day course of tablets. I am on day 2, so they should hopefully start clearing up soon :-)

it does gurgle up my throat. my digestive system is rarely quiet and i am two weeks post-op. don't be paranoid. i am sure it will become our new "normal".

Just had a minor emergency in my neighborhood. I pulled on a pair of jeans and ran out to help. It wasn't until later that I realized I was comfortably wearing jeans from my "too tight" pile. Great feeling!

incontrol(almost) reacted to Butterflylegacy in 8 Weeks Post Op Update
Well, I've become inspired by all the before/after pics I've been seeing lately. My photographic approach was slightly different. I decided to do a "reverse" pregnancy photo timeline. Y'all get to see the first peek! I have been trying to wear the same outfit for each pic, and then space the photo's about every 4-6 weeks.
Top row - 2 weeks prior to surgery (night before liquid diet began)
Middle row - 5 weeks post op
Bottom row - 8 weeks post op
I'm at 49 lbs lost - I weighed in at 265 this morning. Would LOVE to be at 250 for the Labor Day challenge, but these pesky stalls, make it difficult to project that far out!!
Anyway - I just wanted to share!!
