Wal-Mart “Dri-Star” they have sizes that fit bigger guys, about half the cost of Under Armor.. I would like Under Armor but they mostly like skinny people. The Wal-Mart brand is good for now and It works great for me.

For me my weight loss sometimes happens in surprise chucks... Don't get on the scale every day or every week. I like to weigh every two weeks. I have times were it looks like I haven't lost anything in two weeks then two weeks later I get the fun kind of scale shock.

Buy my shirts at Walmart, and not a big and tall store.

My surgery was yesterday, and no cath for me. The War Hammer was not tampered with.

Tomorrow morning at 7:30am im getting banded, I lost 30lbs during the pre-op!! Yea me!

One clarification: I started a version of the pre-op shortly after my appointment with my nutritionist, so in about 1.5 months.
Also I didn't cheat once not ever, it wasn't always easy to walk away but I always did.

Remember the feeling you had after you gave in, remember your personal disappointment... Keep that and use it next time you want a snack. 4 shakes a day will get boring, at some point you will just have to drink your drink and get over it.. Get over the fact that your hungry..make hunger and cravings your friend or enemy what ever works better.

Calm down, did your doctor say you had lose a certain amount? Not all doc's do.. mine didn't. The pre-op is primarily to shrink your liver, it's also good training for what life will be like post op.
Call the office ask to speak to the nurse, if there is a required weight loss you haven't met.. your nurse may be able to advocate for you.

1.) post surgical gas.. Is the pain actual flachulent type gas pain? Like the kind you get after a questionable gas station burrito?
2.) Is the plication portion of the surguery where the stomach is folded into the band? My surgeon does a small plication in the back of the stomach... My understanding is not all surgeons do the plication. I don't mind calling the office again but I want to know before Monday.
I called earlier this week and asked if he did plication but was unable to answer when they called back, I asked them leave a message if I didn't answer. She said he does do a plication but just a small one in the back of the stomach.

It's a tricky gas So you have the left over gas (actual medical gas) that was pumped into your abdominal cavity to expand your abdomen. It's impossible for them to suck all of it out so most people have some discomfort. Mine was mild, irritating, but not excrutiating. Some people have it pretty bad. It's not the kind of gas to where if you "release some pressure" it will feel better. BUT, keep in mind, the first few days/weeks you are drinking Protein drinks which can do a number on your digestive tract. I seemed to tolerate it okay, some people learned the hard way not to "trust a fart" - - their words not mine What helped me was walking pretty much non-stop (except when the pain meds knocked me out), taking my pain meds regularly for the first two days, and a combo of heating pad and ice pack. Ice pack to incisions, heating pad to shoulder (typically the gas travels and settles in a shoulder or spot in your abdomen. After I had a hysterectomy robotically, it landed in my right side and I had a horrid sideache for a week)
Plication is an additional procedure, one that is becoming more popular with lap band placement. I had just the lap band placed; I was too nervous for plication.

They allowed me to go to bathroom 2 times. One was early when I had been laying down being prepped and one about 20 minutes from surgery. I already had the iv tree and sugar Water being dripped in. they walked me over put the bag hanging on the bathroom door hook and no issues. Some places put the cath when you are already out prior to surgery so you might not know.
