  1. I have the same question. I go in and change them and they sometimes do not change!

If you go to the top of the page click on your user name, you will see several things that pop up, click on MY Tickers, a new page will come up with a way to change them or delete them. I had to delete mine once because they would not change. Not sure what is up with them. Hope that helps you :P

I experienced the same issue...when I changed my weight it took about 24 hours for it to update.

  2. Sorry I haven't updated sooner. The wifi in my room has been sluggish. I had my surgery yesterday with Dr. Alvarez. I went second. Went in around 11-ish am. Apparently I said the same thing to Jessica as everyone else, "Did he do the surgery?" I woke up in no pain, just groggy. I am resting, walking, melting ice chps in my mouth. Who knew they could be so good. I will post more later. Everything went exactly as all you veterans have said.

    Congratulations Mom_24!

  3. Hey everyone, I found a old picture today and wanted to show the progress I have made so far. The first picture is from 4 years ago (I dont know how much I weighed in it) and the second is from this past Saturday. My highest weight was 360lbs, day of surgery I was 338lbs and I am currently 237lbs, I have been in ANOTHER stall which seems like FOREVER but I hope I will be able to get down to my goal weight.

  6. Morning all :) ...last night was rough. I was laying flat in the bed and my incision on the right side was hurting. I guess it doesnt like laying flat, i was too far over and I had a lot of trouble getting up. Took 3 trys of my bf helping me. I finally got to the bathroom and the nausea hit me. Thank god my mom filled my script for the "ondansetron". My bf ran the pills into me. I popped one in my mouth, got up..rushed to bed, he got me the trashcan and a cool rag for my head and i went back to sleep. Woke up around 4 or 5 and took another one, still felt crappy....and finally got up at 815....took another one for precaution sake. Not sure what happened. I haven't really been nauseous. Still having the gas pains in the tummy but they are getting better. My legs feel crampy. I wonder if im dehydrated. I feel like im fitting in as much Isopure and Water as I can. My sleeve is only so big! I have yet to finish a whole bottle of it, but im getting cl

oser. I have my post Op visit tomorrow afternoon...and i think weds or thurs I can add in milk based things (creamed Soup, soy milk, Protein shakes) That will be good. Decided last night to go to the food store website and add stuff to the cart, turns out they will do the shopping for you for 10 dollars and you just pick it up!! That will save me a lot of stress walking around in the store seeing all the yummy foods that i can't have any more. So, I saved my list :D

Okay so the good part...Today I weighed in at 253.8. My first goal was taking off 25 lbs from my highest. Today.... I am 26.6 lbs down from my highest (280.4 on july 11th). I am down 10.2 since surgery day (wednesday)

    Yesterday I said goodbye 280s, 270s, 260s...hopefully tomorrow I'll be saying goodbye 250's :)

    Have a great day everyone!!

So sorry to hear of your struggles futureskinnypants.....HOWEVER!!!....your weightloss is amazing! Stay positve and keep up the great work!

  8. Good morning! I'm back at the condo...I'm doing good and im so glad i was discharged yesterday. I'm still in a lot of pain and still have a lot of the gas pains from them pumping my body up during surgery. It feels like someones stabbing me in the back. BUT its all over! I have 6 incisions, one was from the drain. I'm trying to get down a whole huge bottle of Protein juice today :( That sucks...but owell...On the road to wellness! I just wish the pains would stop hitting me like a ton of bricks and i wish i could get out of bed myself..My mom was the best nurse ever . I'm so glad i had her by myside taking care of me. Unfortunatly shes going home tonight, but ken is flying in as we speak so thats a plus! I hope i can walk further in a day or two so he gets to see some of myrtle beach too. Thanks everyone for all the prayers and well wishes!! ♥

Sorry everyone i haven't kept up with the list. This is my first time on the computer. Hopefully i can catch up with all your posts in a couple days when im feeling better. I woke up from surgery moaning and groaning that i thought i was having a heart attack, my chest hurt so bad from the gas. I was up and walking within the hour.. to try to get rid of that pain.

feel free to copy and paste and add your name to the list, I wont be able to do it for a little while.

Best wishes to the future august sleevers, and congrats to those already on the loser bench :)

I can't believe im already 2 days out!!!

Hey futureskinnypants....so glad to see you back on here. I'm sorry you're struggling with pain management. I hope you're feeling much better today.

  9. I feel ou have a choice regarding how you react to his comments....that's in your control. However, I feel HE has a choice how he communicates to you.....it's one thing to express his concern in a loving, gentle and caring manner yet another to be condescending and rude. You most likely won't be able to change him....you just have to decide if YOU can live with him the way he is!

  10. Hi all just checking in with my numbers I was sleeved on Aug 1st. My highest weight was 270.2 on July 2nd. On surgery day I was 254.5 and today I weighed 244.8 that's a loss of 25.4 pounds.

For those of you curious if gained and lost 8 pounds from being at the hospital.

Congratulations. Keep up the great work Nina! I can't wait to join you. :-)

  11. i am in marin county. 10 minutes north of GGBridge. I did not qualify with Kaiser - so i was self-pay. sleeved7-24-12 in Mexico. today is a better day. i worked for kaiser for 12 years. you are in good hands!!!!!!!!! (on day #13...down 17#)! let us know what you need!

I'm glad you had a better day yesterday. Lots of good support on this site...keep coming back to reach out.

  12. I have a friend that was sleeved in January and she didn't use her cpap at all after surgery. That seems dangerous to me. I'm at 6.0 pressure and hoping I'll get off soon after my surgery at the end of the month. I'm a stomach sleeper and soooo tired of waking up with mask marks on my face!!!

  13. My surgery center required a sleep apnea test before being cleared for surgery. It was explained that if you have untreated sleep apnea it could increase your risk of death during surgery. If you stop breathing during a regular nights sleep (sleep apnea) and you add powerful anesthesia to that equation you could stop breathing for good. Sleep apnea is also very hard on your heart and lungs. My surgeon requires a minimum of two months of cpap treatment before they will schedule surgery. I was disgnosed with severe sleep apnea and have been on my cpap for almost six weeks. I'm feeling much better when I wake up in the morning. But I'll be honest.....I can't wait to get off the machine!!!
