  1. Worried I will be the one who doesn't lose or that people will judge me for not losing fast enough. Kind of regretting telling people I am having the surgery.

No regrets billyvmom!!!! Just focus on you...don't worry about others. I think its natural to have these fears...I have had them! I just keep reminding myself

I made this decision for ME and I'm the only person I need to answer to. Hang in there.

  2. I had to go in for a chest x-ray today and I thought of something...maybe a bit strange...but I CAN'T WAIT until I can fit into a "regular" size hospital gown and blood pressure cuff!!!! The nurse started to hand me a hospital gown and stopped and said...."here, you better take "this one" in case the regular size doesn't fit". I figure there's no need to get offended, because she was right.

  3. No problem but I have no idea how much weight has been lost. I decided not to be a slave to the scale in the beginning. I joke that at this point I am just trying to survive and thrive. I visit the surgeon next week so I will have an official number then. Shall report it back. :)

Best wishes on your weigh in... Keep us posted!

  4. Halloween 2012 will mark my 47th birthday..........and I am loving every minute of it!! It boggles my mind when I hear people be-moaning turning 40. I've got to say the 40s are fantastic. My hubby and I married when we were 19' date=' spent our 20s having our 2 sons and 2 daughter, our 30s were spent chasing after those 4........and now @ the ripe ole age of 47 our youngest is a senior in high school!! It is so marvelous to be old enough to have the money you want to play with and young enough to enjoy the game!!!

    40s ROCK![/quote']

Yay! I couldn't agree more! I turn 47 on Hallowwen as well! Looking forward to being smaller and healthier than I was on my 46 th bday!

  5. Just wanted to update for all you upcoming sleevers. I feel almost 100%! Yesterday I was still dealing with issues from my IV site' date=' but today I went out and did regular things and I can now sleep on my stomach again! It only took about three days to feel better. I don't really need pain medication (I have Toradol, no narcotics) but I'm still taking it on schedule to help with the discomfort and swelling in my abdomen. :) Even though the clear Protein is disgusting, I've managed to get it down fine! I visited the doctor yesterday (here in the states) and got some zofran for nausea which helps me sleep...something about laying down has been giving me nausea (?) I think it might be my post nasal drip...

All in all, this was the toughest surgery I've ever had (I've had sinus surgery, lap-band, melanoma removal, gall bladder and now sleeve), and I thought I wanted to die when I was vomiting blood Friday night, but it's amazing what a turn around a few days makes. For all you wanting to die right after surgery---hang on! Especially you guys in Mexico with the crappy pain killers :/ You can do this!!

Good luck and love to all!! :)

Dear Lord! Vomiting blood!? I'm getting so freaking nervous! I'm glad you are doing better now and doing normal things!

  6. My surgery is Wednesday morning at 6am. I'm excited but find myself freaking out!! Am I doing the right thing? Will I fail with this too? Will the pain kill me? Oh my mind won't stop with worry!?!!! I know I want this' date=' I know I'll be ok! I'm just scared!!!! I have faith all will be well!!! Why am I so nervous?!?! I've finally made it through the 30 day Pre-op diet, tomorrow only Clear Liquids and bowel prep! Then it's MY day!! 8-22-12 will forever be the date of my new journey!

I wish everyone else a safe and successful journey!

    God Bless![/quote']

Prayers, happy thoughts and hugs to you!
