My grandmother died 5 days after my surgery. It was a 16 hour drive to get there or a 2 hour flight. My surgeon approved for me to fly but not drive. He insisted that I get up and walk the aisles at least once an hour and I had to buy/wear compression knee high socks. I didn't have any issues. I checked in with them once when I got there and later on in the week. I stayed a total of two weeks so I will see him in a few days for my first follow up.

I made an appt to see Dr Tyner next week. I missed my first post op visit ecause of a death in the family. I look and feel good but eager to check in.

And the stomach can restretch and be "undone" as a result.. And other than that? If she cannot be more supportive than that, then that probably isn't a subject y'all need to be talking about...?

Yumm! I do tried it! It was good I made them in a cupcake pan on some I added a wonton wrap to the bottom, put a little sauce then ricotta mix more sauce on top then the cheese. To make them like lasagna. They came out good too! Thanks for sharing the recipe

As of this week's weigh in, I have officially lost 30% of my body weight. And today the scale was at 200.8. I am this [ ] close to Onederland!!! Oh how happy I am. I still can't believe this is real and it feels so good. So to Celebrate, I'm heading to the gym!

My husband of 10 years is furious that I had the surgery and has been a total jerk when the subject of the surgery or food comes up. I honestly dont get his reasoning and it seems extreme and selfish. He SAYS that I didnt need the surgery and that I was selfish for having it done esp since it isnt reversible. We get along great in every other sense but not on this subject. I have lost 30 lbs so far and he says nothing. I am ready to hit my head against the wall with his stubborness.

Could you just let them bring you the Water and not drink it? I mean, it is free and would save you some harassment.

You are so early out and what you are going through is completely not unexpected at this point. Just keep sipping. Also, warm liquids go down easier in the beginning. I used chicken stick with a bullion cube and my sleeve loved it. Also, I am only 5 weeks, 4 days out and have been able to take decent sized gulps for almost 2 weeks without pain. However, I can still feel it in my chest but it doesn't hurt. It's more like pressure. And, just one other tidbit of information. It was exactly 4 weeks after surgery that I woke up feeling "normal" and it is the best feeling ever. Give yourself time to heal and you will be LOVING your sleeve. It my favorite part of my body. :-)

I weighed in as 141 today 1lb from goal.
