  1. Too funny, wait until you depend on the dryer to provide clothes. I got to the point where I was line drying everything since clothes kept getting tighter and tighter, and then I had to start drying things (after surgery of course :)) to keep things fitting and now the dryer doesn't even help. I went through 3 pairs of pants and a belt this morning and all were way too big, happy dance time :).


  2. There are only a few fast food items I will eat now, Arby's roast beef (no bun), Wendy's small chili, or pizza with super thin crust. Sometimes I don't have time and need to make a quick stop but I'm a lot smarter about it than before, no shake, extra large fry, and maybe even another desert to top it off like I would have done before. Sounds pretty yucky to me now, haha :)


  3. Here's a virtual high five! I cleaned out my closet and dropped off a lot at Goodwill recently too and it was fun :). I loved trying all of the clothes on the closet floor (always throw them there when they did not fit) and they all fit and most were too large, woohoo!


  4. Are you by chance still wearing old clothes that don't show the loss? I know on days that I wear my old clothes (always kept them in hopes I would return one day, and I am woohoo ;)) that fit more snug, people actually notice, but with baggier clothes (really trying to hold out on buying clothes as I keep going down pretty steadily) no one says a thing. But it may help I work in an environment with a lot of nurses, doctors, and health minded people, so they encourage getting healthier, if that makes sense. Like LovetheNewMe said, they may be jealous or just not know how or what to say. I have one person who is always complementing me, but at the same time, says she is afraid that she does not want to offend me in the same conversation. Like people don't want to make you feel bad about what you used to look like I suppose is what she means.


  5. Honestly it sounds like this lady dropped the ball and just gave up. If you think you are stretched and/or have not gone in for a fill for that long, then go to the doc and figure out how to resolve the issue(s), she may have just needed a fill. Maybe I'm more motivated since I was self paid, but if I have issues, you bet your a** I'm going back to the doc. And see, 4lbs down, you are well on your way! It's difficult in the beginning, we are learning a bunch of new habits all at once so it takes time, but you'll get the hang of it. And if you are not tracking, I suggest it, it's very helpful, myfitnesspal is awesome (and free), I'm 2012ALM if you want to be friends.


  6. Actually I just asked my nutritionist this last week because I use myfitnesspal to journal my food and found that some days I only get 5-600 calories, which worried me this is not enough. She said she was not worried about the 800 calorie days, but I needed to work on the below 800 calorie days. They (my nutritionists) really don't use calories in what I'm supposed to eat as they focus on protein and carbs, but I still see the calories and just think that is too low, even if I'm not hungry.


  7. This is a good idea! I need to do this too and I'm totally with you on the high heels, airline seat, and stairs, I'm on the 4th floor and the steps are killers :) Actually an airline seat from Cincy to Texas (and back) is what pushed me over the threshold to get surgery in the first place. It was a horrible experience, most uncomfortable plane rides I ever had, I was pouring out over the seat, fortunately on the way back, I did not have to sit next to anyone and pour over into their seat :(.


  8. E-cigs are awesome, been smoke free since February. You'll love it when you can actually smell how good you smell minus the smoke smell. You will want a cig, but just push through and you'll get through it. I like my ego-c with cartos. I still have to wean off of this eventually, but not till I'm done with my Kona Milkshake and Black Cherry Marshmallow e-juice :).
