Sorry I hit enter to soon. Do not let that scare you. Just make sure the anestesiologist and your surgeon are aware that it may happen so they are prepared as there is a shot they can give you immediately to correct it if it does happen during surgery

How long did it take for you to get an answer once your paperwork was submitted?

I know how you feel. as advice. try to do your mushy more liquid. I couldn't hand the mushy on 3rd week I need to add more liquid to make it more soupy look and then I was able to eat it.
my first one was oatmeal you can try cream of wheat.

Thanks ladies... I really don't want to stay in this body at the moment... at this shape and size most clothes aren't fitting well... to get it right around the apron area, the waist, bum and legs are too big! to get it right in those areas, the apron is too small... it has to go! The dress in the pic covers a multitude of sins, I borrowed it from a friend for my hols... it hangs over the lumps and bumps and emphasises the smaller area, i.e. my shoulders...lol!! Oh what are we ladies like!

Fortunately No cramping here. Just tried some chinese Soup broth and it's delish. Definitely Still on the pain meds though. Just make me feel so much better

Congratulations!!! I will be three months out in 4 days and I am only 67 lbs down. My weight loss has slowed to a crawl. I eat between 600 -700 calories daily, drink my Water, and walk. I am thankful for what I have accomplished and don't want to get discouraged because I know the weight loss will come. I am hoping to be half way to goal for my doctor's visit in Oct. that means I have 8 lbs to lose between now and then so wish me luck!

If the heart is racing and that is a new symptom and not being caused by not taking your meds please contact your surgeon as that is one of the symptoms of leak. At least that is what I read in my papers from my NUT

Finish my Physician monitor first week of Dec so hope to have at the latest a Jan date..

Advice: Learn to rely on the help of others. I'm a very independent person, but I can't imagine going through this without the support of my husband, son and many friends. I just keep telling myself how good I feel when I'm on the giving end. Also, take things slow. It gets better, but it's tough at first trying to get enough Protein and fluids in. I'm almost 3 weeks post-op and I'm seeing progress.

Yes. I am 5 months out, and I have quite an appetite. I have not gained any weight back, but have not lost in over 5 weeks. I know that days that I focus on Protein, and really push the Water, then I do better. But if I have a half piece of toast or something else with carbs, then its all over for that day. I know a lot of this is in my head...I am totally obcessed with food. My stomach doesn't really growl, but I always want to eat. It's a battle to say the least. You are not alone. I, too, would appreciate any suggestions. Counseling, yeah, I tried it. I know its not what I'm eating, its what's eating me, but I can't seem to identify what IT is.
