Hang that belt and use it as a little motivation.

You need to talk to your surgeons office about this, nobody here can answer this for you. Good luck with the liquid phase.

You look great now, I'm sure you will shedding the LB's in no time.

Some of the skinny girl ones are really packed with carbs and calories. Be sure to read the label.

I waited the 3 months my doc tells us to. Since then a "drink" happens when the urge strikes.

" I just posted that I hit onederland. I have been on this site for about a year now. I feel like I didn't lose it fast enough to get a congratulations for hitting onederland. Out of 160 people that looked, two bothered to comment. I worked my butt off. So what, it is coming off a little slower."
Why not just be honest or quietly leave? You are upset that you did not get the amount of responses you had hoped for, so instead create an "im leaving" thread. We all dwell on numbers to a point.

Yes. Ecko, EKG and stress test all in the same day. Other than being out of breath, it was easy.
They did tell you it was a timed 5k, right?
Just kidding...

I had a brutal stall around the 6 week mark that lasted for weeks. They happen, they suck, they play games with your mind and can even start making you second guess things. You just have to remind yourself that the weight will come off.

Thanks for the info on the sale. I just hit the clothing jackpot last week. While gathering all of my "too big" clothes for donation, I found a huge bag of work pants and shirts that I bought at a day after christmas sale a few years back. I was on medifast at the time and 1lb lighter than I am today, but bought them a size or 2 smaller in anticipation of continuing the diet. We know how that went

I had an all night whiskey fest last night.. same results as pre-op.

I'm not sure I understand what surgery you're going for?
-
You will get plenty of various answers to this question. My doc say no carbonation ever, as it will stretch the sleeve.

Wow. Some of you are really bent out of shape because I made the decision to not buy a product I could not stand to drink. I felt it was in my best interest to choose a pre-op diet I felt I could adhere to. My liver was perfect and my surgery and recovery flawless and painless. I am not saying anything negative about Dr. Kim, I am sharing my opinion. I personally am on a budget. Why pay all that money for something I couldn't drink? NOt to mention that the office staff was very hard to get ahold of. It wasn't until JUne that I changed and it for many reasons it WAS the best decision for me. I hope you all make the best decisions for you and have the success and joy that i do even without BARIESSENTIALS....
Who got really bent out of shape?

People spoke up in my last meeting that it was crazy they had to buy special shakes and the nutritionist got antsy and she gave us the option. My thought is, I am already dropping a ton on this process and his special powder is proven to have good results in the pre-op phase so why not just do it. I like my brand of powder way better then his, but I can easily justify spending another $160ish to pretty much guarantee my liver will shrink and my surgery should be routine. Maybe I drank the kool-aid and am funneling more $$$ to Dr. Kim, but Dr. Kim has amazing stats for successful operations and this is my life were playing with. As far as I am concerned my life is worth a whole lot more then $200 extra dollars to me!
I agree. There comes a point where you pick a surgeon based on the things you feel are most important and hopefully you follow the program they lay out. FWIW, the chocolate barissentials is my fav shake out there.

We must have the same friends. The ones I told were all super supportive, busted my chops some, educated themselves on the surgery, learned my diet going forward etc. Now on Sunday's we watch the games and all eat low card high Protein food. The only shots they give me is that I can't drink beer.
... I have the biggest package of the group, so I let it slide.
