I made a point not to watch it before surgery. Now I'm queasy and know I don't want to watch it. I forgot to bring a tumb drive for the doctor to give me a copy of the surgery. Just as well.

YOu are certainly not alone! Good luck with your surgery. I am 12 days post-op and I'm already returning a dress I bought and never had a chance to wear. It's too big. Next summer will be much better.

Congrats! I'm worried about the hair loss too. I'm 12 days post-op and can't seem to eat anythng with nutritional value except one shake a day (and not the best one out there). I even had to stop taking chewables. I'm going to give my stomach a rest for a day or two (liquids only) and try again.
Keep up the good work.

Cant wait to not wonder if my butt is as big as hers in any given situation. I don't feel that big however when I look at pictures I am mortified. Fairly certain my butt is typically bigger

Wigs? does it really get that bad?
I too have very long hair. I've been taking biotin and scheduled for sugery in 6 days.
Try not to stress because I know from personal experience stress can make it very bad.
I don't know if i would go so far as a pixie cut (personally) from long hair unless that's something you've always wanted but shorter hair will definately take the weight of and common sense says it will help. IMHO.
I hope it improves.

for me the pain was mostly gone by the end of week 2 post op. I sneezed one day and didn't get to hold my stomach fast enough and it felt like a ripping sensation going through my largest incision... That one took the longest time to heal, but still better by then end of week 2. Hang in there!!!
Just made me realize it's coming up on the allergy season that sets me off -- late August into September. I need to get on meds as soon as possible because I sneeze constantly for 6 weeks and I will only be 3 weeks post-op.

Someone stood close to you. someone was concerned about you. I'm sure he was not alone. You WERE LOVED. YOU ARE LOVED. YOU WILL CONTINUE TO BE LOVED.

Love the story. Feels like I'm there. My household was opposite. No routines. Only child of single mother. Picky eater-could count my ribs. Sat at the table many, many hours because I didn't finish my plate! Sounds like a lot of great memories...thanks for sharing.

I just finished skimming through your entire blog. Gives me great hope. One of my "can't wait" is when my drivers license needs to change beause it reads too heavy (right now it's saying I'm 36 lbs lighter than I am).
Keep it up.

Dont feel guilty. You didn't create the problem for her anymore than she did for you. I'm sure she's happy for you. I'm sure she wouldn't want you to feel guilty, but to enjoy your success. be there for her and maybe some of the changed eating habits will help her. lower carbs, sipping water, etc.
good luck and congrats!
