    June Sleevers! Hows It Going?

Hey June sleevers, we're 2 months away from our one year, how is everyone doing? I've lost a total of 94 lbs, though it feels great I am still 40lbs away from my goal. I did slack off on working out consistenly, taking my vitamins for the past 2 months which resulted in a stall. But I'm glad to say that I am back on track and now I'm hoping to loose the last 40lbs by my birthday in August. I hope everyone's journey has been great so far.
  2. Thank u everyone...wishing u all success as well on this journey!
  3. Im 4 months post op I'm down 66 lbs and feeling fine. I feel guilty because I haven't been taking my vitamins. The only one I take occasionally is B12, and that's 3-4 times a week. I'm going to get back on track with taking all of my vitamins. Im going to buy different kinds of vitamins, its hard to tolerate the ones i have from Bariatric Advantage. But I'm just wondering if anyone else have a hard time keeping up with their vitamins and does that contribute to hair loss?

    Stalling At 4 Weeks

I'm approaching my 7 weeks and the weight loss has definitely slowed down. I initially stalled at 3 weeks. It picked back up at 5 weeks and it's only been 2 to 3 lbs a week since. But everyone goes thru stalls it normal. Everyone is different so there's no telling how long your stall will last, but one thing I'm certain of is that you will start loosing weight again. Thanks to your sleeve your food intake is significantly less than what your body is use to. If your getting your protein, enough fluids and eating the right things along with exercise, you are sure to pick back up soon. I'm not gonna lie and say that I wasn't feeling like I'm not loosing fast enough, but someone posted on here, we didn't gain this weight overnight, it took years for us to get where we are so we can't expect to loose it overnight. That made me realize that this is a journey. Best wishes to you!

    4 Weeks Out And Stalled

I'm 4 weeks out and stalled last week at 27lbs since surgery. So I stepped up Cardio I walk about 3 miles at least 5 days out the week. I'm only able to get about 500 calories a day and about 30 grams of protein and barely any carbs. I weighed in yesterday and I'm now down 33 lbs. I was nervous too when I was stuck at 27lbs, but a lot of ppl said they experience the same around 3rd and 4th week. Keep up your cardio and once the dr releases us to exercise we'll be doing more to drop the lbs. Best wishes!
  13. One thing we can all agree as adults is that we are all entitled to our opinions, so who wants to be judgmental can do that, and who wants to call those ppl judgemental can do that and those who doesn't care either way and feels like we need to get over ourselves is prob right. Lol.
  14. Lol...you seem pretty worked up as if I called you judgmental personally. And totally disagree that judgmental is synanomous with something that one doesn't want to hear. If you read my post closely, I said there are things that needs to be said, unfortunately some people lack the ability to do so constructively without coming off as judgmental. Also, comparing your child getting a speeding ticket to us dealing with our transitions post sleeve just seems a bit ridiculous. You can speak to your child however you please because that's your child. But when your speaking to another adult, choose what you say wisely. Forgive me that I'm worried about the emotional aspect of judging and criticizing someone for making a mistake as well as the physical consequences from those mistakes. As I said, for the most part, people are supportive on here, and for that I'm thankful.
  15. No one is perfect and I agree that sometimes the tone of some can come across as judgmental. Life post sleeve isn't easy for everyone. I know there things that should be said, but it's just how you say it. Some of us had a harder time transitioning than others. I dont want to risk saying something that would make anyone feel worst than they probably already do. This site has been mostly about support and encouragement for me and that's what I like about it. I know that we can all do this, let's keep our eyes on the prize. Best wishes to you all.
  16. I was sleeves on 6/25. So far I've lost 27 lbs. And of course I'm happy because if I wasn't sleeved I would've never been able to lose that in 3 weeks, but in this last week I've only lost 2 lbs, I'm curious how the other 6-25 Sleevers are doing and did you slow down on the 3rd week?

    Sleeve On 6-11-2012

To get the best results my nutritionist advised me to stay away from carbs/starch. No potatoes, rice, pastas and she was ok with beans. I know I'm not gonna go the rest of my life not eating any starch, however I'm definitely staying away until I reach my goal weight then occasionally have starches.

    6/25/12 Sleevers?

No, haven't had pain since the 2nd week. You may wanna check with your surgeon to make sure that's ok. Everybody heals differently so it may be totally normal. Hope your pain subsides soon!
