I feel your pain! I went to my doctor yesterday and was told I have bronchitis too (I'm 3 1/2 weeks post-op). I had 101 fever and was freaked out that I had a leak. My doctor said it wasn't related to the surgery thank goodness. My bronchitis was so bad that they gave me a Z pack and an inhaler. It is really working. I am also taking Robitussin DM. It has guifesen in it which helps you get a lot of that congestion out. Hope you feel better!

That is so awesome! Way to go!!

I took some Milk of Magnesia (my doctor recommended it). It sure helped!

Hey thanks for your reply. I've been researching this a lot' date=' and there is some preliminary studies that show a correlation between reduced ghrelin hormone and sleep. It's really frustrating some nights! It's like having a newborn all over again.[/quote']
It is definitely frustrating! Fortunately I had some leftover Ambien from about a year ago. That worked like a charm. I don't want to rely on it long term though.

Hey' date=' question for those that have been sleeved-are you guys having a hard time sleeping? I don't think I've slept through the night since my surgery! Frustrating.[/quote']Yes!!! I thought it was just me. I am tired during the day but then when I lay down at night I can't sleep for anything. I figured it was due to not getting enough activity during the day so I increased my walking on the treadmill.

I get it from my naturopath. I can give you her info; she ships if you're interested. She's a firm believer that not all supplements are good and she only orders high quality stuff. The name of it is Nordic Naturals ProEPA xtra It's says it's Ultra Concentrated Superior Triglyceride Form Pharmaceuticla Grade Molecularly Distilled Omega-3 Fish OilHope that helps!
PERFECT!! Thanks so much. I just found it on Amazon. :-)
BTW, I enjoy reading your weekly blogs. Congrats on breaking your stall! :-)

I'm glad it went better than you expected. I hope I have the same experience as you tomorrow!

Took two weeks off and back to work tomorrow. Worried about peoples reactions. Told everyone I was having surgery but didn't say what for. When asked I said I didn't want to discuss it. Only one person knows the whole story. Not sure why I am so worked up about it. I know an hour after being there it will be like nothing happened. Just dreading the first few interactions.Hi... How was your first day back to work? I took two weeks off and am returning to work tomorrow.

I had a really really hard time taking Vitamins for the first few months' date=' but once I could start swallowing them, this is my daily cocktail (I worked with a naturopathic doctor to come up with this:)[*']Multi Vitamin
[*]Fish oil
[*]Biotin (for hair)
[*]Vitamin D
[*]Glucosamine (I have knee and hip joint issues)
[*]Calcium (very important!)
[*]B12 tablet
I take the Calcium at night; the rest in the morning.
Hope that helps....BTW, I hated the chewables...yuck.
What brand of fish oil do you take?

Congratulations cegull!
Thanks! :-)

we have it where it is no more than 4 oz every 15 minutes so I put 4 oz in a glass and repeat every 15 minutes.....i am not sipping but not gulping
That's a good idea. Are you able to drink 4 oz every 15 minutes? I can't get that much in yet.

Hi everyone! I had my post-op appointment today (surgery was August 7th). It feels so good to have those staples removed. :-) We went over my labs and everything looks great so far. I'm down a total of 22.4 lbs (includes the 2 week pre-op diet). Whohoo!!!

Hi everyone ' date=' I was sleeved on the 8th. Still in the hospital . Having dry heaves and nausea. Have been up walking in the hallway. I hope to go home tommorrow Good luck and praying for up comng sleeved[/quote']I was sleeved on the 7th and ended up having to stay a second night because of dry heaves, nausea and low potassium. The nurse gave me a patch and phenergan. It helped a lot. Walking definitely helps a lot!
I'm here if you need to vent!! It will continue to get better every day. :-)

Just joined the group. I'll post there now. Looking forward to getting to know all of you! So excited!
Yay! 5 more days! I am so nervous but I cannot wait! My surgery is at 9am' date=' how about you?[/quote']
I'm nervous too! But we are going to do great and will fly through this with no problem.
The hospital hasn't told me the time yet. They said they can't tell until the day before because of the last minute schedule changes. It sure makes it difficult to arrange for a ride when you don't know what time you have to be there!
