  1. Maybe he is getting a tiny bit insecure. He might need to have his ego stroked a little. Is he one of those who subconsciously tries to feed you, like maybe bringing home ice cream or chocolate. My husband started doing things like that and I brought it to his attention and asked him not to do that, he acted like he didn't even know he was doing it. Try including him when you by clothes and stuff, And ask his opinion about stuff, and make him think this is for him as much as it is for you. He will eventually come around. Good Luck.

  2. Yesterday i did 1.5 miles on the tradmill, and today I did 2 miles. I cant believe I did it. I can remember when I could only do 10 minutes at a time. Now I am up to 45 minutes. wooo hoooo!!!! The walk I am doing is for Scottish Rite Childrens hospital. I can do this!!!!

  3. I started having some hair loss, luckily I have very course thick hair. I started taking Biotin and eating more protein and that seemed to help, now I have a bunch of short stubby hairs sticking up mostly in the front. I was banded on Aug 9. 58 lbs is alot, congratulations. I too am going to have to get my long hair cut, because of the new growth. I would start taking biotin and be sure to eat your protein and a good multivitamin and see if you notice a difference.. Good luck to you!!!!

  4. I think 43lbs in 5 months is pretty good. I do know how you feel though. I have lost 30 in 3 months, and when you break it down, it averages 10 lbs a month which looks good on paper, but, you know what you have been doing, and realize it probably could have been more, so you look at it as not really that much. And starting thinking if I did this or that I would have lost more. When I spoke to my dr. they really don't want you to loose that fast, its not healthy, so as long as you are going down in weight you are being successful. Even when you are maintaining your are doing good, thats not so easy either. :)

  5. I was super sore for about 3 days, it seemed when the gas let up I felt less pain. I am taking Children s Tylenol, and it seems to do the trick. Tomorrow I am going to work, but fortunately for me, I have the kind of job that if I don't feel like I can make it all day, it will be ok. Be tough, it does seem to get better quick. My thing is I am afraid of overdoing it, but I will just listen to my body. Take care.

  6. I think you hit it right on the head. That heifer is scared you are going to out do her. The best revenge???? OUT DO HER!!! Most people that pick on others is just insecure of themselves. I am probably a little more outspoken than alot of people. But I would have told her to shut up and mind her own business from the get go.

  7. awww, I;m so sorry for you. It will get better. Just look back at all the hard times, and how you made it through it. You never think you will but you always do. It will be the same this time. It may seem like it lasts forever, but before long you will look back and say to yourself. "well I made it, dont know how but I did". So what you ate somethings you thought you shouldnt have, Its not like you do it everyday, right?? Keep your chin up and cheer up, you think better when your happy. Take care of yourself, and good luck.

  8. Its been really hard for me also. What I have been doing is my fitness pal, and logging everything I eat and trying to stay in the calorie range it set for me. It has helped me quite a bit, plus you know you have to log it, so you think before you eat. That is the only thing helping me so far. will be glad for the surgery, and get this part over with. Sometimes all I eat is 2 protein shakes and soup for supper. Surprisingly I havent been that hungry and when I get hungry I just eat. Good luck and if you come up with some other good stuff let me know, ok?

  9. omgsh, Your poor brain. lol. Husband has asked me about stuff like that.He thinks if I can loose weight before the surgery on my own, than why have surgery. I try to explain to him. I have lost a large amount of weight in the past, with the use of prescription meds. I lost about 60 pounds in a year. Well they only let me have them for a year. It was super stressful trying to fight my hunger and 30 years of bad eating habits without some "help" i.e. pills. I kept it off for 2 years and then it just crept back on. What I am trying to say is, yes you can get it off with pills and stuff, but will it stay off? For me I know it wont.

At least this way I am forced to eat right. No more eating like a pig one day and starving the next, I feel like the lapband is going to force me to make new habits, and from what I have read, if I do try to eat wrong, it will probably be the last time, because of the consequences, and I am not that hard headed, I dont like it when bad things start happening. I know you have probably been racking your brains trying to decide. Just remember once it is off, you want it to stay off. If you can do that on your own, then that is wonderful, I just know I couldn't. Good luck to you and let us know.

  10. It sounds like you gals dont think you deserve to be happy and healthy and slim and trim. I know it sounds wierd but it is probly pretty close. No one is going to help you but you. Sure you have lots of support, and yes they are helping you, but they can only help you if you allow it. Your loved ones, get pure joy out of seeing you happy, believe it or not. Every person on this earth deserves to be happy. Dont hold yourself back. Take control of YOU. Look at yourself in the mirror every morning and look yourself in your eye, and tell yourself. "You are beautiful and deserve to be happier than you could ever imagine". I know it sounds silly, but it works. Come on and get to your goals, dont let yourself down. You wouldnt want to let anyone else you love down. Tell yourself everyday I CAN DO THIS!!!

  11. Why don't you just tell your boyfriend he don't have to lie. Just tell those who ask that you are just watching what you eat and eating like your supposed to. Small bites and eating slowly. I personally have told everyone I know, because I feel like it will make me be accountable, and more apt to go by the rules, because who wants to fail in front of people who all have something negative to say about it anyway. I wonder why people are so negative??? Uneducated about the subject I guess. Well, good luck, and hang in there.

  12. oh sweety, I am so so sorry you are going thru this. Try not to pay any attention to your loved ones who are saying the negative things. They are just misguided and they don't understand and probably never will understand. You are more now than ever a wonderful member of this forum. Now you have been there and done that, you can help tons of people. Turn this around and make it positive if you can. Go ahead and cry, and then dry it up and say ok this happened for a reason, and go on do what you are lead to do. Im sure it will be to help others..
