    No Support:(

So sorry to hear that your husband is not being understanding and supportive. This journey that you are on is NOT EASY at all. You have made a decision to change for the best and to become healthy. I wonder if he fears that you losing this weight will change what you feel for him. I hear it often that women who lose major weight end up losing their significant others along with the weight. This is a life change, and it's all for the good. I pray that your hubby comes around and realizes that you do need him and his support during this process. Always know that there are plenty of great people on this awesome site that will offer that support anytime. Keep your head up and I am praying for a compassionate and understanding heart for the hubby!

    Hi Ya'll!

Hi Ema76, first off WOW...sorry to hear that your are required to do 24 weeks. Sheesh, that is a long run of classes. I am in Corona and attened class at Kaiser in Corona, they only required 12 weeks of the Options class. I have completed my class, all my labs, and had my medical review on last Friday. Now, I wait for the final referral to the surgeon. I am not sure what happens from that point, from what I understand I would have to attend a seminar for the surgeon and that is all I know thus far. I have heard that all surgeons are different and have different requirements. Wish you the best on your journey, please keep us informed!

  12. First, I want to say...you're not alone. I use to think exactly what you are right now. it's ok to realize that good things can and will happen for you. Please try to look at the positive in situations not just the negative, I know it's hard considering so much bad has happened in your life. I encourage you to do what I did, I CHANGED MY STINKIN THINKIN. I realized that I am a good person who does deserve good things to come my way. Let me tell you when I decided it was enough negative in my life, guess what things actually started changing for the BEST. Believe in yourself and believe that your are deserving. Be Blessed and be Positive, for Positive Thoughts bring Positive Outcomes!!!

    Will I Lose My Butt?

I asked this same question almost earlier this week, I did receive some great feedback. I wondered the same thing, as I don't want to have a flat booty.

    Girl Code

I agree with the other responses, I think that it can be interpreted in different ways. I personally would suggest that you observe the situation a bit more. If she did it again, I would contact her directly and say hey I appreiciate your concern for my well being but you can contact me directly rather than my hubby. This will elminate any confusion and basically let her know that your hubby does communicate with you and you are very aware of her so called "concern".

    Surgery Tmrw!

Prayers going your way for a successful procedure!
  16. Well I simply look at it like this... I am addicted to food, just any other addiction assistance is needed. So WLS is my assistance, and yes others may have done it naturally but that does not work for everyone. I have tried all the different types of diets and am just tired of being a yo-yo. So this is what will work best for me, so that I can begin my journey to a healthier me.

    Feeling Ashamed....

I too have had doubts, i have been on this roller coaster of WLS for about 5 years. It is very much a mental, I had to be really ready for everything that comes with it. I am finally ready, and don't have a problem telling anyone. I was embarrassed before and kept it to myself, because I was not sure what people would say. Now forget it, I am ready and excited about it. I agree, with Dorrie you should seek professional assistance. It will help. Wishing you the best!
