Kraze Gamer Girl got a reaction from No game in hair loss
Mine was about the same.... i have thin hair anyway... but i noticed i was shedding worse then a long haired dog for about 2 to 3 months.... it started about 3 months out for me and lasted about 2 or 3 months I thought It wasnt going to happen since it took 3 months But No one notices except my BF that was going around finding hair on the couch, shower! and floors lol!!!
it's really not that bad....... my profile picture is about the time I noticed the hairloss the most...... just remember, it is temporary! My hair is growing great now and I am at 9 months.

It was kinda unbelievable how much came out in my hands everyday but its slowing down now,
I'm almost 6 months. I can really notice!
But everyone else tells me they can't,
But my family is sick of seeing it all over the bathroom

You can do everything right (Vitamins Protein etc)
And it will still happen to most of us I started at four months and it was pretty scary!
Oh I know it was in my pre op paper work, I had to sign a document stating that I understood this.

It didn't hit me till around the three month mark. I get in all my Protein and take Biotin and I am still loosing my hair. I was told to expect to loose it for 6-8 weeks so I am hopefully I only have two weeks left. I don't loose a ton at once, mostly with hair washing and then a hand full of strands here and there. I notice that my hair is thinner but not patchy or anything like.

Mmmmm.......call me crazy, but I get a sick sense of satisfaction graphing my weight loss! I have to get on the scale every day and log it into excel. Love watching the trend line Actually, I know some will call me crazy, so just think it and don't say it. I also am enjoying shopping a lot, but trying to restrain since I have a long way to go. Oh, and of course, VST.

Color. I used to be all about the black. I still like black, but now I WILL be caught dead leaving the house wearing pink, red, yellow or any mix of prints and stripes. The crazier the better! Color has to do with how I want to be seen. I still wear black when Im feeling like I don't want to be so visible...or I fear not being taken seriously. I also walk a lot more. I took up bird watching which takes me to the river, I started to "monitor" the outer edges of the school I work at...I walk the perimeter every day at least once....isn't it a sign of addiction if you sneak your object of addiction?...if anyone asks, I'm just looking out for vagrant students!

I have become an attention *****. I soak up praise and admiration like a sponge. I guess it's because I was invisible for so many years. Go ahead and laugh (300#+ and invisible!), but I know y'all know what I mean.
And to make me sound even more debase (coffee addiction..pfft), I'm addicted to sex. Thank God only with my husband, but still! I wasn't that way before. As a matter of fact, I detested it. I could gag thinking about it. Now I'm like RAWR all the time. I never get tired of it. *hangs head in shame* my poor husband wishes I liked coffee...

Nothing says "screw you" to an ex-boyfriend better than a hot, smokin' body and a pair of short-shorts.
    Keep up the great work!

One of the reasons most of us have gained so much weight is because we stopped listening to our fullness (satiety) signal. I didn't find it easy to learn to feel this signal again.
Here are a couple of things that may help...
Divide up the amount of food you should be eating and only put that amount of food on your plate.
Do not eat to the point that you are uncomfortable or to the point that you need to unbutton your pants, stand up, etc. Use the waistline of your clothes as a guide.
Stop as soon as you feel any stretch in your stomach. Learn to eat to the point that you are satisfied and not necessarily full. The Japanese have a saying, Hara hachi bu, which means eat until you are 8/10ths full -or- belly 80% full.
Use a little visualization. In the middle of your meal, visualize a healthy snack. Ask yourself if the idea of a small, healthy snack is appealing. If it is, you may not be full. If it is not appealing, you may be satisfied
Smell and pay attention to the taste of your food regularly while you eat. Are you enjoying every bite or are you just trying to get in a few more bites. If it is no longer appealing, tastes plan/dull, greasy, heavy, then you may be nearing satiation.
Other advice about chewing well, eating slowly, not watching tv while eating, watching your fork as you take every bite, etc - all of these things help you be 'present' while you are eating and extends the time of your meal to help your brain feel as full as your stomach.
I rarely ever eat to the point that I am 'full.' I eat to the point that I am satisfied. I learned how to do this from a book called "I Can Make You Thin." by Paul McKenna. You can get it for a few dollars on Amazon. It has a lot of advice for healthy eating hygiene habits.

    YES! YES! YES!
Allow yourself to have a treats, but bring them home in limited amounts. You know yourself. You know what you can and can't handle. Don't bring home things that you can't handle.

i am 5 months out now....I only had beer that one time after... I like apple martinis! which were delicious for my birthday last week i took 4 shots and I was feeling like i drank all night like i did when i was younger lol
but just be very careful listen to your body..

Kraze Gamer Girl reacted to SunnyCox in What Am I Doing Wrong? Im At A Stall And Im 4 Weeks Post-Op On Tuesday. Been On A Stall For The Las 2 Weeks Almost.
I stalled two weeks out from surgery. Gained 2lbs and held steady for 8 days. At day 6, I increased my Water intake and started taking the Vitamins I was supposed to be taking from the beginning. I think both things helped me, and by day 8, I started losing again. Since then, I started exercising to ensure that I keep losing. I think we are all going to go through stalls no matter what we do. Eventually, the scale will start moving downward again.
My PCP gave me two tidbits of advice to prevent stalls:

If I am dehydrated or lacking sufficient nutrients / Vitamins, my body would hold on to my extra weight to try to ensure it gets what it needs.
If I would do some form of simple exercise (even walking in 10 min bursts), it would take me longer to reach stalls.

Okay, I've been thinking about your post and I can't get over the fact that he left you like that. I've had some horrible boyfriends in my past, but I can't imagine leaving even THEIR sorry butts after major surgery and with all those bills.
I agree with Aviiva that you need to get angry. You didn't deserve that; no one deserves that. There may have been good times, but in the end he was a JERK.
I think being with your parents is a great idea right now. I'm sure they will help you with perspective and with your healing, both physically and emotionally.

it's the hardest thing to do but you need to be selfish, especially now you need to relax and work on your life. I promise with time everything will fall into place!!
Just remember it will get easier with time. In time, you will find someone better.. Don't settle for someone that doesn't deserve you!!
    My thoughts are with you!!!
