    OVER 300 lbs

I started at 309 and was 292 when I was sleeved on 2/19/13. I now bounce from 175-178.

    Saint Luke Hospital NY

Both are centers of excellence. I have two cousins who are scheduled to be sleeved at St. Luke's in December. I was sleeved at Westchester Medical Center in 2013 in Valhalla, NY. Good luck to both of you and welcome to the sleeved community.
  3. Sleeved on 2/19/13 at a starting weight of 309. I've been bouncing between 182-178 since June 2014. I'm so happy I got sleeved

    Need VSG Veteran Input

Some mushy foods just don't go down and digest the same. The fat content in the avocado may have been too high too soon. Good luck to you. I still have issues with baked sweet potatoes and I'm 20 months out.

    Medical marihuana post op

I am researching medical marijuana to help with nausea, and side effects I am experiencing due to being newly diagnosed with MS. I know some. Peoples have had success, but feel strange about if since I have not experimented with anything like this since college 30 years ago. BTW- medical marijuana was recently legalized in any form with the exception of smoking it in NYS. I'm so glad I was diagnosed after being sleeved or I would have been unable due to an autoimmune exception in the policy without a long fight.
  6. Welcome back. You doing a great job maintaining your loss. Good luck on your plastics. I'm in the same stage working with my doctor to get my plastics covered.
  7. You all look great. Congrats and keep up the good work.
  8. That is a temporary issue which comes from consistently taking in too little protein. The hair grows back once you up your daily protein counts.
  9. Everyone goes through an anxious period pre-op. I've had 6 major surgeries in the last 6 years including 2 neurosurgeries, and an almost fatal infection, but I'm still here. Compared to the other surgeries getting the sleeve was easy. I say stay informed but don't thing the rants or negative experiences of a few will be your fate. I'm 16 months out and 128lbs lighter and have no regrets. I still need to have another neurosurgery and am newly diagnosed with MS. Even through all of this, I don't regret getting sleeved, and know being lighter helps with my recovery and condition. Good luck and stop taking only the bad to heart. The complication rate is .01%.

    One Month, Two Days

    Great job. Congrats.
  11. I log everything I eat on a daily basis. It helps me to stay on track of calories and exercise. I'm 18 months out and 126-128lbs down.
  12. My condolences to you on your loss. I know it must be very hard for you, but I hope you find comfort from the people who care for you.
