Tori ~ I hope you found your way to Curves to get your workout on! I don't live near Denham Springs, but I know how friendly we Southerners are and you're bound to make friends anywhere you workout! It's inevitable, we're southern girls, we talk!
  2. Not loving the three week stall..., but I'm okay. Met with my dietician this week and she suggested that I put the scale away till Monday, then weigh once weekly. I can probably make it to Monday, but I don't know about the once a week. Maybe I can compromise w twice weekly? IDK.... I return to work next week and am waiting until then to try on my work clothes. Hoping I'll "feel" my weight loss. I figured feeling it will be better than just a number. Although I admit I do love seeing the numbers when it's descending!!!

I don't think it will cause problems with your time line.

Dont Know If This Is Tmi But.....

I would not think that it would cause problems, as ablation and d&c are relatively non-invasive (meaning no incisions have to made). It's most likely to be done as an outpatient procedure, with you going home the same day. Best wishes to you.

I Love Little Kitty Paws Under The Bathroom Door!

Love your grey kitty and pink claws!!!! So cute and playful! I have three fur babies, all adopted. One only has eyes for my daughter, he's a Siamese. My Tabby and my Himalayan have not left my side since surgery. I loved being able to pet them and their purrs made me feel better. =^..^=

  17. I'd like to second (or third) the motion for coffee. I had not gone for ~9 - 10 days and I was dying for a cup of coffee. My husband had brewed his usual morning coffee and I asked for just a little demitasse cup, with splenda and powdered creamer. It was literally under 2 ounces of coffee. I was thinking I probably didn't need to "go" much as I haven't had solid foods. Well let me tell you the coffee worked magic and the amount was astonishing. Sorry for being graphic, but I hope you find some magic to give you relief. It does take time for the bowel to recover from surgery, anesthesia and narcotics. Take care. ~Jane

    Migraines And The Sleeve?

Fortunately, I have not experienced a migraine since I started my preop diet on June 11, surgery was on June 25. (knock on wood, something, do a dance!) YAY! Makes me think that my diet may have been the culprit in triggering my migraines! I have also been able to discontinue my B/P medicine. Hopefully you all will experience relief or reduction of Migraines, at least perhaps a reduction in medication. Best wishes to all. ~Jane
  19. Everyone's suggestions are great! I would like to add that I've been using my immersion blender with my soups, just found it easier. I purchased an inexpensive strainer from Walmart, which I've used a lot for said soups. Oh and colorful plastic baby spoons. I tried to take bites w regular soup spoons and I would take in too much to swallow comfortably. I've practically lived on vitamin water zero and watered down G2 (as my water), as not to elevate electrolytes, just maintain and hydrate. I've been using a large container of Fage 0% Greek yogurt. I could spoon out small portions and thin it w a little high protein milk and a little sprinkle of Splenda or sugar free Torani syrups to change it up a bit. ***A bag of Sonic ice**(Did you hear me sing??) I don't know how I would have survived w/o it. I even put it in my liquid Lortab to dilute it. Best wishes for you!!! ~Jane

Pain On Right Side Of Stomach

My doctor warned me on discharge day that that particular incision on my right (at my natural waist bend) may bother me longest, explaining that was where he pulled the excised stomach out. Also explained to me that he stitched down into the muscle very well as to prevent hernia. So every bend and stretch is noticeable, not terribly painful, just bothersome to me. Best wishes to all! ~Jane

    For The Post-Op Veterans!

Hi Jackers! We were sleeved on the same day Fluids are going down fairly well, a little trouble with getting in the necessary volume. Thanks for your post, as I have had some of the same thoughts. I am very hopeful as I read the veterans comments. "Cheers" to us (as I sip on my protein). Jane

    Newbie

Welcome Mom! You'll do great, I'm sure! It took me a little time to adjust to the preop diet, just continued to remind my self how important it was. My surgeon told my husband that my liver was small and looked great! I am now 10 days out, no complications and doing very well. The veterans here were/are correct with the advice of, "sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk". My current diet stage is full liquids and I find I feel better if I take a little walk, just after eating. Best wishes to you! I hope that you have an uneventful surgery, tolerable discomfort and a speedy recovery. Check back in and let us know how you are. ~Jane
