  1. I had never tried to get pregnant before this.
  2. Hello, I am 18 mths postop. I was 3 days late on my cycle and decided to take a test and it was positive. I am so excited and a little scared!!!
  3. Hello everyone, I am about 14 months post op and feeling hungry pretty much all the time. I've found myself grazing alot and I was wondering what is the maximum amount of food those atleast one year out are able eat at one time.
  4. One year of progress, 83 lbs and counting. I am so glad that I chose to have the sleeve. I didnt always do exactly what i was supposed to, but I am very excited about my results so far. I look forward to loosing about 50 more lbs. I pray that more people are able to find out about this procedure and change their lives. I am off my cpap and off 3 of my 4 blood pressure meds. I can breathe better and enjoy life more. I love my sleeve!!!

Items that Swell in your Stomach?

I'm 2 months out and popcorn has not caused me any problems. I havent tried oatmeal. The only things that are causing me problems are thick breads and lettuce. I can literally feel the bread swelling. As for the lettuce, which I am really bummed about, it just fills my sleeve up with gas. It makes me feel like i need to burp really bad but I can't, and even if I do burp I still get no relief. So I keep Gas-x on hand now.
  7. I am one of the people that does not feel hunger. I occasionally get a craving for certain types of food but most of the time I have to make myself eat. I can get up at 9 or 10 am and not think about eating til like 2 pm. I am 2 months post op and can only eat about 3-4 ounces of anything before being full. Best of luck with your surgery.

Plastics on 1/8/13... Recovery is hard!

Thanks for being brave enough to share the pics from your surgery and recovery. They have been a big help in knowing what to expect if i do have plastic surgery. I'm only 2 months out from my sleeve and no where near goal but i already feel that my arms will be a big problem area, so I will probably have to do the big incision.
  9. for the first 2 weeks after surgery I had this cramping feeling that started at the bottom of my stomach and kind of rolled up to the top. But It has disappeared in the last few days. It was especially bad with cold items.
  10. I was sleeved on 12/12. Yesterday was my first day on the soft diet. Was only able to get down 1/2 an egg and 0.5 oz of cheese before being full. So i can only tolerate about a half cup of anything before getting too full. I'm down 30 lbs since starting my preop diet! Some days i hit my protein and liquid goal but i haven't since starting the soft stage.
  11. Wow, u guys can have meat in ur soft stage. So jealous!! I do softs for 2 wks then i can finally have meat. I'm 12 days postop and still n the full liquid stage right now though. I think u will b fine just hit ur reset button and keep on pushing toward your overall goal.
