I just realized I had some stuff on hand that I could easily use pre or post op... You may want to try something call Secure Complete Meal Replacement. When I got it, I had a variety pack that had 30 meals for like $9.99 or something ridiculous. I can't find that specific site that had that deal, but they are around 70 calories and have 7g of Protein for each shake packet. I have had this for about 6 months... lol... I am finally going to use it! I also had a Trim Advantage (this is from AmWay) body system starter kit (box wasn't even open) and it has protein power, shake mixes and protein bars! I am thinking since the Amway stuff has Protein Bars, to do this during pre-op and if I can survive on that and regular stuff, I will leave the Secure stuff which is actually yummy for the post op... Go figure! I don't know what to do for clear liquid other than boring stuff... ugh. Good luck! My surgery is just a day after yours. Aimee

Hi everyone, I am getting "sleeved" on 12/18/09 (same day as 3636millie) in Dominican Republic. I needed to do a offshore surgery for the cost, but selected DR because I have lots of family there and could be looked after by/visit with family while I am recouping. As for eating more... yeah... i'm there, too. My plan is to try to not over do it the next few weeks and start researching Protein drinks, ordering samples and plan for the pre- and post-op diet, enjoy Thanksgiving and right after Thanksgiving, start focusing on lessening the impact of the pre-op diet. I may even make it a 3-wk instead of 2-wk... My goal is not to gain any weight now through Turkey Day! A soon-to-be Fellow Sleever, Aimee

Hey 3636millie, I am actually flying out to Dominican Republic (I am originally from there and have lots of family there, so made more sense than Mexico) on 12/16, doing lab work 12/17, surgery 12/18 and fly back 12/25 to visit my mother in Florida and then fly back home to Wisconsin for the New Year with the family. This is my Christmas present to myself. I will then have another week off and then go back to my desk job on 1/4/10. I was hoping to have a 3rd week off, but I ended up getting sick earlier this year and wasted a vacation week that way! Argh! What about you? Aimee
