@carolinagirl I had lapband with plication too... how soon did you DR give you a fill? I thought they would wait for my wieght loss to slow down( we are expected to lose a lot in the begiining due to the smaller stomach) and then start the fills I am only 5 Dy post op and I am waiting to weigh myself on the 30th at my DR appt but I was wondering how long your DR waited to begin your fills. thanks

@farmgirl04...Happy to hear... wonderful news about the BP medicine..on to mushies i must say I am jealous ...I don't think I can move foward until the 30th I am working hard on trying to get my intake up

I have troubles with this too my gas just loves to hang out here hot showers seem to help bring the gas down I just let the water beat my shoulder until the gas moves from there

I used milk of Mac & I did finally go just remember you don't have much solid in you so b patient when you strain it should not affect your stomach or band its to high up in the digestive track my Dr said it was safe to try but not till I'm in pain it cancause other issues(hemorrhoids...ugh)

my DR alllowed me to move up a couple days and I am so greatful I feel so good today

you will love the cream of wheat I have to eat it very running but my DR allowed me to start it yesturday and it has helped greatly with the gas it just never came back after I started using it I make the instant( with soy vanilla milk) and split it into little tiny containers it takes me all day to finish one instant pack but it has made a world of difference for me..... dear , you aren't getting enough nutrient to even allow your body to heal you do not need to exercise right now just some walking more for moving the gas and getting fresh air but in know way is it a work out program You are going to wear yourself out and you won't have enough energy to even get out of bed Slow down Sister(smile) work on getting your intake up and letting your body heal for right now and rest..hope I helped

I guess the biggest thing I learned was to keepsomething in my stomach I would get rid of all the gas and would be so happy then I wasn't eating & my stomach would feel up with gas again now I eat at least 1oz of food every 15min(my protien shake or soupy cream of wheat) and no more gas now

it was a difficult couple of days the gas was the worse i would get rid of it & it would return with a vengeance but I'm doing so much better now thank you for asking you day is coming soon are you ready? I know you are

my stomach is making all kinds of noise(day5 post op) but I'm not hungry it is the gas moving around in my stomach.

I have been the same I will pass all the gas my stomach goes down & then I'm swollen again so this last time I drank something at least 1oz every 15min (I set my alarm clock) & it didn't come back I think my stomach fills with air when its empty try it and see if it works for you I added really runny cream of wheat its a little heavier than my protien shakes this reminds me of a new born with collick the formula does not keep them full so their tummy fills with air & the gas is painful since ive been doing this i am doing much better I even walked around the block today hope I help some

sorry to hear you are having a(( tough time the pain was killing me too but I finally started passing the gas I am praying you get some Relieve soon hang in there

my stomach has a lot of air that I'm trying to move down so each sip feels like I'm pigging out I'm going to walk around Walmart and by some milk of mag(no BM yet) I hope it helps not extremely painful but very uncomfortable
