  1. Hey all. I have lost 76 lbs. I don't have a ton of excess skin...but enough to be bothered. Most of it is on my tummy, the backs of my thighs, and my arms. Are there any toning/weight training tricks you have tried to get rid of it or reduce it??
  2. Actually, I found that once I started eating real food, the weight loss increased a little. I would stall on weight when I wasn't getting my water and protein in. Anyways, the cravings I used to have are GONE! I was a chocolate addict. I haven't touched it in 3 months and have no urge to. I was also addicted to pop. That craving is gone as well.
  3. Best decision I ever made. I LOVE to shop now..and I LOVE the camera. Good luck to you!!!!!!

    Alcohol?

I had a beer around 12 weeks. The carbonation wasn't horrible..but it was uncomfortable. I now drink wine and it goes down just fine. Although...half a bottle gets me feeling pretty tipsy. lol.
  5. I was sleeved on May 21st. I have lost 74 lbs. I'm off all medication and feeling like my life has been given back to me.

    10 Min "hot Flash"

You are not alone. I experienced the same thing. Get some protein in you when that happens. I experience hot flashes when I eat and I was sleeved on May 21st. Hang in there. It will get better.
  7. I went in for my 3 month check up this week. Blood work was great! My doctor said that most patients have lost 20-30% of their excess body weight by this time. I have lost 55%!!!! My doctor did not seem concerned about that, but my NUT did. She said that I should be eating 3 small meals a day and one snack. I tried and tried to tell her that I just can't eat very much at all. She gave me sample meal plans, and there is NO WAY I can eat all that at once. I was eating small Protein enriched Snacks every two hours. She wants me to stop doing that because it can cause me to make a habit of "grazing." What is the problem with grazing if you can only eat an ounce or two of anything???? I'm so confused. Did anyone else lose this fast? I walked out feeling BAD for losing.
  8. uh..relax..it was a joke. I drink 64 oz a day.
  9. Thank you so much for the encouragement and helpful advice everyone. Eating out is the WORST! For instance, today I went to a restaurant and ordered a cup of french onion soup. The waitress says, "is that all you want?" I said yes. Then I could only eat a few spoonfuls. She comes back and asks me if something was wrong with the soup because I said I was done. Ugh! Then I have my boyfriend telling me how bad he feels about eating his bacon cheeseburger in front of me. I eat healthy and have not felt a single urge to eat any fatty and high sugar foods. Sometimes I feel like I have a disease the way people treat me about my new eating habits.
  10. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who has given up dinner. But then I have to cook something for my two kids, and that is a challenge when I just can't eat.
  11. I was sleeved on May 21st. I'm off all food restrictions. However, I am NEVER hungry. I have to force myself to eat. And when I do eat, I can literally eat only an ounce of food..maybe two on a good day. I am not complaining about that, except that I worry I am not getting hardly any nutrition. I don't want to live on Protein shakes to supplement what I can't eat. Does your tolerance for food increase with time? If so, when is that going to happen?

    -52 Lbs. Before And After

I drink a Premier Protein shake for Breakfast. Throughout the day I sip on ice Water to get my 64 oz of water in. I eat small protein rich Snacks every two hours whenever possible. (cheese, meats, eggs, etc.). I do a walk at home DVD every other day with resistance training.

    Newbie Here...

Weight loss surgeries have come a LONG way. In fact, I read an article that said that they are now considered safer than having your appendix out. Don't start researching horror stories or complications. That will only increase your anxiety. Yes, you will be able to eat normal foods later, but your tastes will change and you will want to make healthier choices. And you will most certainly be able to get back to working out and contact sports. It was the BEST decision I have ever made. Good luck to you.

    How Do You Do It?

Listen to your body. Rest when you need to rest. Even if it is just a quick nap. I would focus on staying hydrated and getting your protein in. You can worry about the rest later. Right now your body is taking every ounce of protein you consume to heal a wound, which doesn't leave much in the energy department. Once your stomach starts to heal, you will notice an increase in energy levels. Hang in there.
  15. When were you sleeved? I am off my omeprazole now and bp meds. I was sleeved on May 21st.
