  1. I am 5 years out. I was down to 142 from 245 and now at 169. I am wanting to get down to 150 I exercise 2-3 x weekly and still weigh and measure my foods. Does anyone have any suggestions? I still measure 1 cup and 2 oz of protein is included in that. I stay away from pasta as it doesnt agree with me. I can tolerate small amounts of rice. I stay away from breads as they tend to fill me up and not let me eat much of anything else.

  2. I read a post on here a while back about a special suture that surgeon can do while doing a bariatric procedure, to prevent acid and bile re-flux. However, I cannot find that post again...does anyone happen to know the name of that stitch??

No, thankfully, I was one of the lucky ones who actually got rid of bad reflux when I had my VSG back in '15 and haven't had it since, nor have I had any since the MGB revision. This question was actually prompted by a young lady who is very bummed out about having had a VSG and then a revision to MGB like me but she STILL has bad reflux. I remembered reading somewhere about a specific type of stitch that the well-trained surgeons do at the anastomosis during revision or even the original WLS that would prevent reflux. I have yet to find that post again though.

I don't know if you have ever tried Fasting but you should join the FB group called Resetters and watch YouTube videos by Dr Mindy Pelz. She talks of multiple types of fasting (I believe there are 7). Fasting for Autophagy is the best for breaking stalls and for losing those pesky last 10-20 pounds. But not only for weight loss, fasts can be quite beneficial for other areas of health and well-being as well. Good luck and Best wishes.
