Thank you for the advice. I was looking for some support on how I am feeling. I never tried it but someone told me about it. Thank you for not labeling me or diagnoising me. It was a thought. I am 6 days out and everyone is eating around me and the smell is unbearable. I didn't get to have Water until 2 days ago and I could get shakes until yesterday. They didn't give me anything in the hospital until the 4th day the doctors gave me water and day 5 I got broth. Yesterday I had a partial shake. Thanks for putting me back on the right track without judging me.

I think if this surgery can save you life. Pray for guidance and go for it. I have heard 12 year old was the youngest age. Only long term affects I am aware of is taking Vitamins for life. Hope this helps.

I am down 35 and I have 30 to go

I have been going between 167 and 169 for weeks. I was sleeved July 3rd and I don't feel like I have lost weight either. I don't know what to do. Everyone says that I getting smaller but the scale just wont move. I dont know what is going on. I had a hitiial hernia so it still bothers me when I eat. I can't eat chicken I always throw it up. I feel like I can barely eat anything without feeling it go down.

I am offically one month out and down 23lbs. I found the most delicious Protein Shake. OMG I was hating the taste of shake because I have been on them so long. I had a hital hernia repair which makes it harder for me to swallow right now. I hated every single shake I have tasted until dunt dunt dunnnnn. I tried an organic cafe mocha Protein Shake from the Vitamin Shoppe. I went their asked the employee which one he tasted that was the best. Oh yeah Protein Bar was always a favorite of mine.

I could drink this shake all day. It has no caffeine, taste like ice coffee, is organic, and has 16 grams of protein. I am in heaven. OMG I am finally looking forward to Breakfast in the morning. If anyone is having a problem with shakes I highly recommend this shake. I purchased all of them from the vitamin shoppee.

I am 3 days post op and I have to tell you it was no walk in the park. First, I had so much scar tissues the doctor told me the scar tissues from my band removal a year ago had begun to encase and grow over my liver. It took 4 hours to cut the scar tissue from my liver and stomach and other organs. Next, I was in so much pain from the gas I couldn't bear it. One nice nurse made me some homemade heating pads. However, the rest of the nurses did not want to assist with the Water heating pads but some did with attitiudes. I decided to write a list of what you really need pre op and post op from the hospital.
2 heating pads = 1 for your stomach and 1 for your back ( get the kind you have to plug in) the wireless ones don't heat well and it was hard to keep getting up and charging the batteries. Not to mention they only use rechargeable batteries.
1 shushi massager ( I think it spelled right)= to massage the gas from your back, side, and stomach
1 Coco butter oil only it helps if you have someone to rub you down and it helps
bath & body works = eucalyptus spearmint stress relief aromatherapy. lotion and spray for the pillow it really, really helps.

I get my result back today for the breath test. I am praying my surgery is not pushed back.

I'm 5'2", started 262.2. Now i'm at 142.

I am an African- American female and this type of surgery is not supported. I have been raised love yourslef and other no matter the size, shape , or color. I have lived by this advice my whole life. I agree with it whole-heartedly. However, I would love myself more if I were more active and had less pain. My advice, I only told my husband. That's it! I go online for support, and read information. I can't live for them. I live for God and I have to be alive to do his will. I hope that helps.
