How are you feeling now? Any reflux or stomach pains?
My doc told me dairy was fine, especially so far out. I don't see why it would be a problem. Especially just one piece. Are you having "blockage" problems?

Hey all. I was sleeved on 10/10. Down about 30 lbs (won't know exact until my 1 month appt on Thursday, as my scale cannot be trusted) since which includes the 7 lbs I lost on the pre op diet. It feels SO good to be back under 300. Which I haven't seen since 2010, when I got pg with my daughter. The only thing I'm having an issue with is finding a good Protein Shake for myself. As I have a hard time drinking thicker liquids. I had a 7 day stall, but I chalk that up to the reintroduction of food. Also having a hard time keeping away from grains right now. :-/ Bought some low cal/sugar free mints to fight the head cravings, since I can't chew gum anymore! OY.

I have always been big my whole life and she bullied me (only person ever too) I mean name calling kicking me hitting me very very nasty mean human being.
She was always super skinny in the past 2 years she piled on weight and is a uk 20/22.
She has no idea I had the op never will (she doesn;t get told anything about my life by me or anyone in my family) she hardly comes by or to family things but when I do eventually see her which could be a year from now I know I am gonna be smaller and wayyyyyyy smaller than she has ever seen me and half my family can’t wait to see the look on her face when I am no longer the fat whale she used to call me and i am smaller than her.
I said it was mean but its also true and makes me meanly snicker at the thought lol

I confess I am 15 days post op and irritated I have only lost 12 lbs.

I confess I'm both elated and frightened that I seem to have a sleeve of steel.

OMG! I thought that I was the only one that went to the dark side! I have become such snob when it comes to eating now. I even get angry at my hubby for making bad choices at dinner and not wanting to share. I can't help (actually I don't want too). yayyyyyyyyyy!

It's ok to vent when you need to!! It will all get better. This is a big lifestyle change and I'm sure it will take some getting used to. There are plenty of people here that can and will help and support you through this and they have all been through it, are going through it, or will go through it. I know there will probably be days when I want to rant and rave once I have my surgery...so let it all out!!!

Sadly, he's finished up for the year. Hoping he'll be back next year though.

hunger games books are good. just started the fifty shades of grey books because everyone loves them..i think they are very risque but from what i hear its a great read so im excited .

I am 1 moth out too. I puke up pretty much everything. I dont see how I can get in many calories. I can not even keep an actual food journal. I only have nausea when I eat and feel like my stomach is constantly growling. Hoping for answers soon.

They have little inserts you can put on the backs of your rings to make them a little smaller. Most jewlery stores sell them. Unfortunately this wont be an option for me... My engagement ring is set into my wedding bands so the back of my band is pretty thick. I have never seen them made for rings as thick as mine, but I have seen tehm for all kinds of normal rings, I actually have one for another ring.

I am at week three just eating until I am full and stop. Not measuring it all yet. Better to use a measuring cup or kitchen scale? Don't have one yet.

Did they give you anumber to call if youhave any problems? I would call them or call the nurses line at your local hospital and see if you should go to the ER.

After my surgery, my doctor prescribed Nexium to help my stomach heal faster... I luckily, did not have a drain... That Nexium works wonders...

hang in there. I understand feeling jealous of everyone who seems to have smooth sailing. Let them get you all figured out and hopefully this rough start will all be a distant memory soon.
