I think he is scared to lose you after the weight loss. Men dont communicate the right way they say the stupid-est things sometimes. All men are scared to lose their women escpecially if she is going through a major change. He may think "once she lose weight she will no longer be interested me and develop this big ego" I am only 11 days post op and lost 19 lbs already and my husband will say things out of no where.. Like dont change who you are I loved you for 13years and dont want you to become hollywood on me or yesterday when we went out he got a little jealous because guys look at me. (little does he know they look w/ him there or not) LOL
If you want the relationship to work and you really love him sit down and pour out your feelings then let him pour his out and then determine if you want that relationship or if you want to discover who you are becoming and start a new relationship once you are ready....
Good Luck Honey!

Where do you stand?
No matter where you are on your journey, could you share some body stats? If not your current stats, then where you started?
I sometimes see people becoming discouraged if someone is losing faster, or someone who weighs the same as they do can wear a smaller size.
I think it will help to see that everyone is DIFFERENT, we all carry our weight differently, and height makes a difference. Muscle mass and gender make a HUGE difference.
Feel free to update as your size changes.
My highest weight was 226lbs and I was wearing a size 18-20 pants/skirts and XL shirts.
I dont wanna lose weight to quick (scared of hanging skin). I am 10 day post op so I am a newbie to this sleeve life but so far I love the choice!

Today I seen my surgeon today!
The first thing he said is omg look how skinny you are getting...(all smiles)
He then ask me if I can be a spokes person during his seminars and he also asked me to take pics today so I can be the first african american in his demo video.
I am so excited...He said my incisions are barely visable and that is so cool, he never seen anything like that.
Today built my self esteem so much...
I am thankful for all the love and support I am receiving! And I thank God for all his blessings.....

I hope so...I had my gallbladder removed in 2001...and boy do I know the gas pain all to well. I remember having to walk walk walk WALK...even though you wanna curl up and sleep until they're gone HA HA.
My Dr said that should be the most bothersome thing...and I pray it is. You look as if you are doing awesome...keep up the good work!
XOXOXOX
If you had gallbladder surgery it is the same exact thing. I had my removed in 2003 and it felt the same exact way and my surgeon used the same incisions. There you go now you know what to expect..you already experience a surgery that was similar. Good luck and wish you well to a quick recovery!

NYB..that is awesome...when did you have your surgery?? I hope I dont have to take much for the pain...I dont care for pain meds much. I had a foot surgery in July 12, and took like 2 pills the first 24 hrs...that was it.
I had surgery Nov 6, 2012. If you had foot surgery and did not need pills you wont need any for this surgery. If you walk and get up and down keep stretching those ab muscles you will be fine. On the 4th day after surgery I was walking my son to the bus stop and cleaning my house...

I tried it today. I could not wait to try food but it is all not cracked up to what it used to be....
Applesauce made me throw up and mash potatoes felt like it was stuck in chest. I had to lay down and actually fell asleep and woke up feeling better...
Take your time and don't be surpised that after 1 spoonful you may be full....

I had the patch and all the medications. From my experience nothing helped. I vomitted the first 2 days. I asked them to take me off the pain meds and that helped out alot. The nurses kept pressing the pain pump button and I was not in pain. They said it put me to sleep and out of the discomfort of throwing up...
Everyone is different you may not having any epsiodes at all!

Very helpful...thank you

Oh man that sucks. If anything pre write a letter with your health issues and emotions due to your weight and ask your ob to write a letter for insurance company recommending the surgery is necessary

I am an Election Day sleeved too. I am doing good. Not getting in enough Protein or Water yet but still trying. Still have some incision pain in my belly button but it gets better day by day. I was surprised to see many of you at the gym already. I am a mother of 3 and can barely stay awake long enough for the kids bedtime. Is anyone else suffering from headaches? These are the same type of headaches I use to get when I drank caffeine but I haven't done that for years now. Only issues I am having are tiredness' date=' incision pain, and not enough Protein yet.[/quote']
No headaches but my sleep schedule is off. I sleep late wake up early and have a lot of energy. Try Decaf products see how that works for the headache

So aetna denied me!! :'( I cried and yelled and cursed but whats that going to help? I need a two year weight history and I have 14 days to get one. So my surgeons office is calling faxing the ER's ive visted in that time frame so im praying I get approved upon receiving that information... ive come to far to give up... im not fat by choice I have pcos that got jump started when I took the depo shot... I dont have an issue with food but the hormonal imbalance has cause me to gain and I ended up with diabetes I cant have kids' date=' I have one and thats by the grace of god. I have facial hair and I cant live like this any more... please pray for me.[/quote']Sorry to hear that. Ask your ob/gyn or your primary doctor for weights within the last 2years. If you are getting your shots every 3 months they may have something on file.

Hi Kim and Election Day Sleevers,
I am a Nov 6- Election Day Sleever. I have not been on any pain meds, During my hospital stay the general anesthesia and pain meds were making me throw up and I have no belly pain at all. The day I was to come home I was able to keep down liquids. I hate anything cold i can only tolerate warm and hot fluids. I hate anything with a fruity taste. Everything I like prior to sugar I can't stand. I was a sweets eater and even some sugar free products are to much for me. I love chicken broth with a little bit of seasoning.
I am shocked you tried mash potatoes...I tried unsweetened applesauce with my Vitamins and it felt like razors in my stomach. I can not tolerate any dairy at all...
I am planning on going back to work maybe the week of Thanksgiving. I only do minor cleaning at my home which is not normally the case. ( Before I went in for surgery I did a super major clean).
I found 2 Protein Shakes I like and plan on trying new recipes with them so I don't get bored with the taste.
My bandages came off and the scabs are so itchy but I am done 16lbs and every morning when I wake up it feels like Christmas. The first thing I do is look in my full length mirror then weigh myself. I hope by the end of November I am in the 100's and can begin to tone my body.
God Bless you with your journey!
