Both of those are funny. LOL If you are still early in your sleeve, you could get full on one sample!! LOL I'll have to remember that next time I am there once I can have "real" food again. I am still on pureed foods. Thanks for the laughs. I needed that!

We did communion at Easter, and I remember prior to receiving it that I was hungry and couldn't wait to get home to eat. After I had communion, I wasn't hungry anymore, but I never thought of it in the way you did. That is funny!

I have several Bariactric family members and soon to be one myself. I was in church yesterday when I thought of this.
While taking communion at church, I realized that bariactric patients are the only people that can take communion and get full. LOL. I could be the only person who thinks its funny, but I had a big smile on my face during that part of the service and everybody else was looking all serious.

I'm from NC, too, so I know there's no chance you'll be pulling anything out for the next 4-5 months. I agree with Pennie, maybe set aside the key items you would like to keep and put the other stuff stowed away. You'll have a better chance of selling them or finding someone who can use them when the weather gets cooler. Chances are, you won't be able to wear any of it! Good luck!

Hello. I was sleeved on Monday & released late Tuesday afternoon. It was supposedly a routine procedure, & everything I've experienced to date is normal. I almost backed out on Monday, I got a little scared. I thought to myself...I can stay fat and eat what I want...I don't have to do this. Then I thought about how absolutely miserable I've been emotionally and physically, with the weight. Each day gets better. No pain meds since Tuesday, when I was discharged. Mainly because I felt horribly nauseated when I tried to take liquid Tylenol w/codeine. I then tried to chase it with a swig of Isopure. The thought of vomiting right now is so terrifying, that 1 wrong move cures me. My incisions are healing nicely, I came home without the infamous tube. I don't feel strong because liquids just don't do that for anyone in general. I slept all night, for the first time last night. Moderators feel free to move this to the appropriate thread.

    Hi all.
I got sleeved on April 11th, along with a gall bladder removal and a hiatal hernia repair. This site is great and a wealth of information. I especially like hearing from other guys on the topics that come up.

    Hey guys,
Welcome to all of you who are new to the forum. I got my sleeve on March 22nd. I'm down 36 lbs since the surgery and 42 lbs from my heaviest. Although my weight loss has been a bit uneven up to this point I couldn't be more pleased. I'm just now transitioning to solid foods and learning what my sleeve likes and what it doesn't. I can definitely say that this is the best thing I've done for myself in many years. I'm sleeping better than I have in forever and walking is getting easier every week. Stick with the forum. Every time I visit I read about someone who is or has had experiences just mine. It really helps to know that we've all been in similar places.

I'm a new user as well, joined just a couple of days ago. I have my first appointment with the Dr. on May 9th and hope to have the surgery sometime in June. I'm 6'2" and starting at 300lbs and hope to get down to 200lbs, maybe less if I can. I too will be looking to the boads for support and words of wisdom as I go through this experience. Good luck sergeant with your surgery tomorrow!!!

Im sorry to hear that your family doesn't understand your reasoning. But the easy way out would be to continue to do nothing about your health! I work in a hospital helping patients file for disability which is a huge reason I elected surgery. Sure, your family is concerned for you, but explain to them how this is a step into taking control of your health to be around longer! Many of the people I see at work are normal, everyday working people that started out with high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or diabetes and then it spirals out of control and they suffer a stroke, heart attack, or worse. Its sad. They suffer alot and many times can not return to their jobs or even live withour assistance. And it doesn't only affect the elderly, often times it is young people as well. Im very passionate about this because of my work. I used to not care about my health until I saw the downside of not taking care of one's self. Please talk with your family. I wish you the best.
